It's a nonsense to question The Hask's inclusion.

He's excellent at the breakdown for a big man.
Beastly in the tackle.
Decent carrier.

And an absolutely dominant banterer off the pitch - ideal tourist material.

yeah no sorry guys but Wales is shit. Was not of that mindset before. But. Any team that loses to France these days isn't that good. France are so headless they'd make the headless horseman put his head back on then demand execution through decapitation.
Lions need to be as English and Irish as possible.

Hask has been one of the best flankers over the last 18 months - lost his mojo a little bit after the injury - but he won't let anyone down.

The Hask also knows how to have fun in Queenstown and Dunedin. That has to count for something.

I'm just waiting for the inevitable "Hask's Lions Tour Diary". His inclusion in the team will be worth it just for that!

Looks like I was right and Hask fans were wrong.

2 games, 2 losses, 2 poor performances.

Stats from last game, 5 carries for a total of 2 metres.

Let's see how he goes tomorrow but I stand by my original comments that he simply isn't good enough to be a Lion at this stage of his career and should never have been selected.

Watching him lumber from breakdown to breakdown then stand off at the side doing nothing (but pretend to organise the next defensive phase which inevitably he doesn't contribute to) and then when he does get the rare chances to run at the opposition to try and make ground how often he simply gets stopped dead in his tracks...... It all has me apoplectic.

How do people fall for the whole 'Brand Hask' thing. As a rugby player he's a busted flush ! A genuine weakness in the team.

I can understand Haskell's inclusion because Gatland would've wanted to dominate the collisions.

He doesn't get involved in enough collisions to contribute towards 'domination'

Gatland only needed to review his performances this season to confirm this.

Genuine question. Is it me, or does the Hask have a bit of the Benny Hill about him ON the field? I don't mean his social media stuff. It's when he runs he seems to dither for want of a better word. Is it that he has short legs for a tall guy, or does he a funny run?? Slamming into the posts 2 years ago versus Wales has somewhat solidified me on this thought too.

Not sure his questioning Poite on the rules v Italy has influenced me though. That was just him being a bit confused.

Surely Haskell should be allowed to play himself back into pre injury form like most of the Welsh players on tour.

He definitely runs funny. He's very upright, takes tiny little steps and doesn't seem to really bend his legs much.

Haskell's inclusion was also underwritten with a direct partnering deal with the Lions DVD makers in a ground breaking Brand-share concept.

He worked for a few years with Margot Wells, the sprint trainer, and it's a result of her work. Quite why she'd not want him to fully open his legs is a question for us all to ponder.

Better for acceleration and quicker change of direction? It's not like he's often galloping into space.

I use little steps at first because whenever I try and go full sprint straight out I just pull a muscle in my groin, but I'd hope he doesn't have a similar issue.

No- as I understand it, taking Instagram selfies when in full stride can be hugely challenging and results in pics being removed for camera shake.
