Personal favourites;

Jaws
The Godfather
The Empire Strikes Back
The Mission
Platoon
Top Gun
I'm Not There - Dylan biopic

And while not an actual movie soundtrack, Fantomas' covers album of film music, The Director's Cut, is brillliant.

Backbeat - because Yoko wouldn't give them rights to any Beatles songs they got a supergroup together that had Greg Dulli, Thurston Moore, Dave Grohl, Don Pirner, Don Flemming and Mike Mills to sing Rock N Roll standards.

Nick Cave is a colossus. I know he didn't do the sound track for this but he did write it (in three weeks apparently) and he did score the The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

He's a 'kin ligind.
The Road and Lawless are also brilliant works of his.

To add to my previous Guardians of the Galaxy suggestions (which are fĂșcking amazing btw and I've been listening to them all day). I would nominate It's all Gone Pete Tong and Kevin and Perry Go Large.

Cinema Paradiso.

Actually, anything done by Ennio Morricone.

For a Few Dollars More - Soundtrack's better than The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

Just watched season 1 of Peaky Blinders, they have Red Right Hand as the theme tune and use half his back catalogue through the series. It fits like a glove.

Guardians of the Galaxy films are great. People that don't enjoy them, have no soul. And the music is ace.

It's all gone Pete Tong is a quality film and a top performance from Paul Kaye, the sound track is excellent (Reflekt, Ferry Corsten, Shapeshifters, The Beach Boys).

Kevin and Perry go Large is stupid, funny but stupid and is so dated now, but the dance music is quality.

Okay, me and Samshark might appreciate the music more than others but its still excellent.

GotG is fun but that PLUS shitty comedy clubbing movies with shithouse club mix soundtracks = x(

And the Awesome Mixes are basically karaoke playlists, let's be honest here

(I was also referring to your unaccountable obsession with Nic Cage)
