I'm hoping that Daly or Williams gets a starting wing spot, North has been shite.

I'm also hoping that Lawes or Henderson makes the bench over AWJ but I know that's in vain..

There's as many Scots in the Chiefs' starting lineup as there are in the Lions' XV..

why don't the newbies have official Lions numbers ?

pretty sure the others were allocated numbers as soon as the tour party had been selected.

pretty harsh on the likes of davies and russell if they don't get given a number.

fantastic to see courtney lawes back.
They only get a number after they've played. Was the same for the team announcements for the first couple of games.

why is Seymour missing his? Equal top try scorer for the tourists.

Interesting. Suggests that Liam Williams, Dan Cole won't be involved in the first test and that Joseph will. Also THE SINK on the test bench, which is nice, love me some Sink.

My ultimate aim as a rugby fan is to see Mako, George and Sinckler play 10, 12 and 13 for England. They'd be more dynamic than Tindall and Noon.

Screenshot cuts it off, spot the comma.

Anyway, disagraceful bench. Pissed off that Williams finally gets a shot at 15 in the "lol you're not playing the Tests" match.

Gawd. I always think the Chiefs play a type.of rugby that is far greater than the sum of it's parts, but that wider training group team is going to have to play out of their skins if they're going to be remotely competitive.
Lions might even score more than 1 try.

Tommy's never been a replacement in a Test match. Barely used like that by Glasgow either. He's just not really a bench option.

He's well away from February/March Stander, isn't he. He was the first name on most Lions' team sheets then.

Exactly - it is strange - has he basically been told 'you are not even good enough to start for the dirt trackers' or, is he going to be in the 23 for the first test.

The script of course, from the fuckwi*s that can't bear the thought of a Scot being anywhere near the Test Lions is that he had a 'shocker' the other day - catching one out of three 50/50 high balls (YOU MUST CATCH THEM ALL IF YOU ARE SCOTTISH OR YOU CANNOT BE IN THE TEST SQUAD) and missing one tackle (YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MISS ANY TACKLES IF YOU ARE SCOTTISH OR YOU WILL NOT GET IN THE TEST SQUAD).
Also, apparently he did not show anything in attack (APART FROM HIS STUNNING TRY....AND THE OTHER 'TRY' WHERE THE TMO WAS THE ONLY F**KER IN THE STADIUM THAT DIDN'T SEE IT HIT THE LINE).
'The try was just lucky' - HE'S LUCKY A LOT THEN.

Earl - For once I probably agree with you - I think he should be but....

My only hope is that Gatland has realised that Seymour is the only winger we have who regularly 'steals' trys (as he did on Tuesday) and given the ball is hardly ever reaching the wings and we are showing eff all in attack we may need that sort of try.......

My main anger here, and you are seeing the same thing with, say , Henderson, is that there is a large coterie of know-nothing f*ckwits that have made up their mind about a load of players without really knowing much about them and paying no attention to how they are actually performing.
The shit about Hoggy at the first game for example - 'we know he's a great attacker but there's a worry about his defence...'
So he doesn't miss a tackle but has an average day in attack and the tw*ts are after him on here.
Look where we are now at FB FFS... Halfpenny is a trooper but he's no Hogg.

Hogg is a huge loss, he has been the standout back in the 6 nations for the last 2 seasons now and our greatest attacking threat.

He was inked into my test team BTW. :)

Be interesting to see who is mentally up for this in the Lions.

They must have a feel for out and on fringe.

For the chiefs after last years stuffing of Wales I have huge hopes.

HEAD TO HEAD

1. Siegfried Fisi’ihoi (24) vs. Joe Marler - LIONS
2. Liam Polwart (2) vs. Rory Best (captain) - LIONS
3. Nepo Laulala (11) vs. Dan Cole - CHIEFS
4. Dominic Bird (25) vs. Iain Henderson - EVEN
5. Michael Allardice (20) - Courtney Lawes - LIONS
6. Mitchell Brown (14) vs. James Haskell EVEN
7. Lachlan Boshier (15) vs. Justin Tipuric - LIONS
8. Tom Sanders (19) vs. CJ Stander - LIONS
9. Finlay Christie (6) vs. Greig Laidlaw - LIONS
10. Stephen Donald (100) vs. Dan Biggar - EVEN
11. Solomon Alaimalo (6) vs. Jack Nowell - LIONS
12. Johnny Faauli (5) vs. Robbie Henshaw - LIONS
13. Tim Nanai-Williams (82) vs. Jared Payne - EVEN
14. Toni Pulu (21) vs. Elliot Daly - EVEN
15. Shaun Stevenson (21) vs. Liam Williams - LIONS

16. Hika Elliot (116) vs. Kristian Dacey - CHIEFS
17. Aidan Ross (2) vs. Allan Dell - EVEN
18. Atu Moli (24) vs. Tomas Francis - LIONS
19. Liam Messam (159) vs. Cory Hill - CHIEFS
20. Mitchell Karpik (5) vs. Alun Wyn Jones - LIONS
21. Jonathan Taumateine (6) vs. Gareth Davies -LIONS
22. Luteru Laulala* vs. Finn Russell - LIONS
23. Chase Tiatia* vs. Tommy Seymour - LIONS

I'm not sure the benches are easily compared. I think the Chiefs bench is actually good in terms of forwards. Overall the Lions are way better on paper.
