It's always a tossup for me between Ireland, Scotland and NZ.

Probably: Scotland, Ireland and then New Zealand.
(Could flip the first two).

Scotland: because of fantastic Edinburgh trips in the 5/6N
Ireland: always liked the Irish, been there many times - Dublin, Belfast, Galway, Wicklow, Bandon, Skibbereen - some real good nights
NZ: just phenomenal rugby; will visit your beautiful country some day

Scotland. My brother-in-law is Scottish and they are usually the underdog.

Samoa and Australia are my next teams after the ABs. Samoa because my dad is Samoan and my parents live in Samoa. Australia because that is where I call home.

Anybody playing against England

Always been Scotland and Ireland...however after last two tests against the AB's listening to the Irish commentators, well frankly Ireland can get f**ked. So suppose it's exclusively Scotland

I used to like other rugby fans until I heard a few people say some things I didn't like. Now all the English speaking countries can get f**ked.

So probably Japan.

WHO: Not New Zealand
WHY: They are cunts

Samoa for family reasons and because it's just such a damn fine part of the world.

Ireland, because green is my favourite colour.

Canada.

My wife is Canadian, I lived in Toronto for more than five years, and I am a Canadian citizen (dual with NZ).

The rest of the bits of GB and I against another tier 1 nation, but would enjoy a bit of schadenfreude should they lose to a tier 2 nation.

Anyone backing New Zealand as their second team is nothing more than a glory-hunter .... I'm surprised more people aren't getting on board.

Argentina was my second international team in the 80s and 90s because of players like this bloke (the one facing the camera, obviously):

He's got Welsh heritage. Well, so do I along with Irish, English and Scots, but his is more recent.

Mine used to be Australia, I just revelled in watching guys like Eales, Horan, Farr-Jones, Burke, Mortlock, Gregan, Larkham etc. Absolute champions, and for a good long wild. But I tired of the new wave of underachievers like O'Connor, Giteau, Beale and Cooper.

France, because their league hired lots of Argentineans and that led the development of our national team. And I remember the time in which they didn't suck.

For playing style it has to be Australia or NZ. But as someone said, having NZ as your second team is too easy (at least since 2011 onwards).

South Africa because my folks lived there for a long time.

TBH in any given game I'll support any team that is playing well or making it entertaining (which is why it's so often been difficult to be Scottish).

Ireland by birth and Australia by residency I guess although its a struggle to back the Wallabies these days, they seem to have an air of arrogance they can't back up on the field.

After that it would be on a game by game basis, always struggle to back Wales because of recent rivalries yet Cardiff is my favorite place for an away 6N game

Scotland all day long

Why: because Edinburgh trips are amazing and a nice soft Scottish accent on a hot bird is a gift from the gods

Scotland as they don't win too much, they're generally sound lads and the only ancestor from foreign I am aware of is a Scottish great grandfather.

Mine is the Wallabies, I suppose. I don't really feel as though I have a favourite at the moment.

Ireland cos of my dad. NZ cos of my Kiwi friends, my great-niece, and Lord of the rings.

France

Scotland are my favourite 6Ns team and always hoping for a resurgence from them. They have definitely been on the uptick for a little while now which is great to see.

Japan because they were one of the first teams I can remember seeing play (this might just be in my mind as it was not a test but against NZ universities)

Scotland or Ireland.

Because we share a 'domestic' league I appreciate their styles of play and enjoy watching their best players.

Any other team from the British Isles except Ireland (although I always want the Ulster boys to do well)

Then probably Argentina.

Italy because I love their anthem and perennial underdog status. Also Scotland since John Barclay has been captain.

Samoa, lots of NZers in their team. If the Cooks were any good they would be my second.

Scotland is my first team as I am Scottish born and bred
Italy second because my mother is Italian
South Africa third because I lived there for 12 years.

It's not been a good few years.

There are certainly teams I used to really embrace however have been turned off them because of the attitudes of some of their modern day supporters. Now I'd rather see th em lose.

For me Japan, we made some great friends from the Japanese rugby community whilst living in Bangkok. My son played for the Bangkok Japanese club and also was the mascot for Japan when they played in Bangkok against Kazakhstan a few years ago.

I still love watching the All Blacks play, but I have little desire to discuss them other than with someone like Undies.

New Zealand
Then France for the unpredictability

All Blacks, having met several and the rugby they play.
Argentina, got Hugo Porta's autograph as a kid at Murrayfield and he was such a nice bloke ...and a wonderful player.
Australia ...it was the gold and green combo that I liked as a kid, then 80s jersey with the green stripes sealed it for me.
France ...well I have a little French blood in me, so why not.

The Lions don't feature any more.
