I'll call more steady progression by the french XV: 37-16.

Hoping Oupa is ok, but I'm glad that JLDP will get a chance to start, with Kriel on the bench. Would like to see Combrinck in the 23 as well. Maybe start the bench props ahead of Beast and Malherbe.

From the other thread:
I really hope AC doesn't mess with the 23 at all, other than bringing Kriel on the bench in for Oupa.

We can make a couple changes within the 23 but keep them the same.

While I think AC will make minimal changes with possibly only Kriel coming in for Mapoe, which would be a mistake, I'd like to see the following, and yes I know there are quite a few changes to the starting XV. Well only 2 really in the pack (not counting JL duP) and 3 in the backs:
1. Ginger
2. Marx
3. Coenie
4. Eben
5. Mostert
6. Kolisi
7. JL duP
8. Whiteley

9. Hoohah
10. Juntjies
11. Leyds
12. Frans
13. Serfontein
14. Rhule
15. Coetzee

16. Bongi
17. Dreyer
18. Beast
19. PSDT
20. Kriel
21. Cronje
22. Mapoe
23. Skosan/Kriel

i think the team should be a close to the previous 2 as possible. When Terry Venables was England Coach he had a motto that it should be as hard to get out of the team as it was to get into the team. It should be the same with the Boks. Consistency breeds success. Obviously if someone was completely crap then they're out!

It's the same 23 but I agree. There's just a few there who I have hoped would start all along

Continuity. Learn from Jake White. Build a team going forward. There are enough youngsters in the side to provide continuity for 5 years at least

Time to introduce Curwin to Springbok senior rugby....he is the future going forward.
As well as Pollard....

It was always meant to be Pollard , Jan , Jesse....

The Goose must make a comeback. He has a lot to add.
And he is a local boytjie now.

Seems as if Lambie is gone.

Due to political pressure I cannot see a Springbok team starting with only 2 black players, so I expect Beast and Mapoe to start.
I would expect that the only change would be the enforced one of JLDP coming in for Mohoje.
I would like to see Jesse Kriel at fullback rather than Coetzee. He is a more explosive runner than Coetzee.

Talent alone (despite no game plan in sight) if engaged will keep you in a game. We've seen it in the last EOYT and 6N games.

But factually on those mid-year tours France are more likely to roll over in their own puke, or.. "make up the numbers" if you prefer.

They won't just get a good 80min of solid team Rugby out of their asses, coz why not.

Young eager Boks side with some promise found won't consider they've won the series and just show up. They'll relish getting more and more of that good stuff in front of the home crowd. Make coach and nation proud.

I predict with good confidence just about the same result as the first two for a tour that'll actually go down as worse than Aus June 2014.

Cronje out - concussion
Mapoe and Venter released to SA A side, which obviously means Kriel will start. :x

Both Venter and Mapoe should have stayed before Kriel.

Your jealousy weighs you down .......... those that believe your bullshit are poorer for it.
Jesse has more talent in his left bicep than you ever had in your entire carreer.
When he twitches his abs on his fb page you shit yellow jelly beans out your arse.

Both...Pollard is very out of form and needs more time in Soup rugby although playing for the Bulls wont help him currently.
Curwin is in form

Thanks Sards.. Long time Lurker, but never really posted.

With Mapoe being released to the 'A' team there goes my theory down the crapper..

Is that bait Sards?

Bosch is hugely talented but is nowhere good enough to play at this level. I hate saying this because it feels like I am being a bit personal but I don's beleive he has the heart/guts to play at this level. Not saying I would either.

So basically back to the team that started the first test then... except Hooha starts and Paige on the bench

he will never be included now...wont happen.
I think you are way off regarding the bolded...calmest fullback besides Lambie
Have you watched him....if he stuffs up he just turns around and carries on as though nothing happened.
He has been involved in some epic Soup matches....

I enjoyed the first two tests and believe we will win this one. If the French has some guts they’ll make it tight but chances are being French they’ll just roll over. A word of caution for all those Springbok supporters beaming with positivity, the first French team was basically a second string team and although the second team was better on paper, those players only joined the team a week ago after playing a final at the end of a long and gruelling competition. They looked absolutely knackered to me. I’ll reserve my optimism till after we faced sterner opposition in the RC.

I think you're misjudging why we are positive. It's not just about beating a poor French team. The intent we are showing on the field, the game plan, etc. It is a major shift to what was on display last year...also against poor teams (Italy). We are all well aware that we have a long way to go but to suggest there hasn't been an improvement is naive.

And the fact that we were on one hell of a losing streak.....thank you France...you make us feel better about ourselves.

Jesse Kriel is is the new Jorrie Muller.

He tackles like Brent Russel, looks awesome, always misses the important ones.

I can see why Sardy wants all these models though, it's quite cunning, he's hoping that they will keep his wife in the room so he can actually watch the game, instead of doing the ironing.

Sardy's list of priorities goes

>looks good
>has a beach body
>plays for the sharks

Jesse Kriel is is the new Jorrie Muller.

He tackles like Brent Russel, looks awesome, always misses the important ones.

I can see why Sardy wants all these models though, it's quite cunning, he's hoping that they will keep his wife in the room so he can actually watch the game, instead of doing the ironing.

Sardy's list of priorities goes

>looks good
>has a beach body
>plays for the sharks
>has a semi conservative hairstyle possibly highlights(from the sun promise)

No I noticed the improvement but I also noticed the many silly mistakes that the French failed to capitalise on. Any of the other NH teams won’t give us half a breath on mistakes like kicking out on the full or miss fielding a straight forward kick off not to even mention the All Blacks. If that happens playing the AB's you can bet your bottom dollar it will lead to try.

I think you might be overlooking a very simple fact “You’re only as good as your opposition allows you to be” and the French was kak, dare I say even kaker than last year’s Italy.

How far do you want us to win before you will be impressed?

Mostert has been brilliant you fool. Oh and the try you're referring to...the important missed tackle was actually in the build-up to that try. ;)

Jesse was brilliant too Yankee. You forgot.

And like I said. It's ok for Mostert to miss the tackle on the scrumhalf for the try because he has been excellent and Yankee decided that Jesse's missed tackle was the important one not Mosterts so we should rather focus on criticising Jesse who missed the tackle on the halfway line. Yeah it's all Jesse's fault. What a twat he is. Mostert you biscuit

Kriel was average. Was in space numerous times, but could not make it count. He is still a very young player and I suspect not the brightest around, so maybe he just needs time. A lot of it.
