That rant-letter from the Wallaby fan

He's obviously right.

In a more France-centric perspective, this is exactly and I mean exactly the thing that lacks in this nation here. That critical spirit. You will never, ever ever ever ever see a France fan write a letter like that (about the xv de France), in that spirit. He'd be immediately identified as a negative party-pooping asshole, asked in all different ways to "fk off", and would be mocked for low status and common fan Rugby pedigree vs those are professional coaches and personally attacked rather than argued against.

Give me 15 minutes. That’s all I want. To look these guys in the eye and tell them WHAT IT MEANS to be a rugby fan in this country. Because they don’t know. They’re not fans. They’re players and coaches. That’s different. They don’t know.
What a ludicrous plonker.

We've all talked about it and agreed that he's a dribbler looking for a media gig. Full retard.

He's an arrogant self-serving prick and his dismissal of Scotland as "Scotland 'B' as anyone half decent they had is in NZ" makes me happy he's suffering.

Nah, bit more PASHUN and you would have be right.

I'm having a look at his Twitter now, since he's been using it to pop off at the ARU for not giving him enough attention. It's just full of shit, boring, takes. Total nuffy.

Cheik had to meet him for no other reason than the fact there are a lot of dribblers masquerading as oz rugby fans.
Hopefully that will be the end of this.

TBF he's not wrong about Bernard Foley. He is an AWFUL test match goal kicker.

This guy needs to stop being so precious. It's sport you win some games you are supposed to win, you lose some games your supposed to win, you win some games your supposed to lose and you lose some games your supposed to lose.

Grow some balls get over it

Or it validates him and opens the door to more nutters expecting the same.

He is completely right. Are their mercenary players as pashunate about winning for Australia as someone like Hooper? In England's case I doubt Solomona cares as much as Robshaw.

you do seem quite the fine disciple of the puff-puff-pass philosophy though.

Oh and you guys are all weird reacting that way. The guy is saying they're not doing as good as they can, while not being merely professional athletes paid solely to 'play good' but the actual national fkng team.

No but don't go taking it so seriously
I just meant with your sort of casual demeanor, "libertarian with a little l" and stuff, ffs your avatar !!... you're kind of an intellectual pothead :D :P

Anyways man, your team ain't playin to its ability, and that fkn sucks, and that guy in the letter has the right mindset and is fkn 100% right.

The same letter (bar the geographic references) could've been written in spanish and addressed to Daniel Hourcade...

You guys are hard on him. He was pissed off and probably did this with dangerously high blood pressure.

I wouldn't do it because I would be too chicken but I understand his passion (and anger)

Pathetic crap. Cheika should have recorded himself phoning the bloke and telling him to fuck off and stuck it on youtube,

Or make one of the players do it on speaker phone during a team "court" session.Like that Zebo one during the 2013 Lions tour.

Accept when playing England at RWCs! I was genuinely shocked that night!

He's a stabber - doesn't follow through with leg or body, so the ball flight's a bit more random. Thought "Mick the Kick" would have fixed that by now. :?

Yep. I'd pay a couple of bucks to see them all telling him to get over himself.

He's right though. I was calling for Genia to be subbed in the first half. He couldn't be bothered.

Genia looked cooked with 25 to go.

What's the point of having reserves if you don't put them on?

He wasn't interested in the first half. Look at the NZ halfbacks they're a bubble of enthusiasm. If the that bloke's rant was aimed at him than fair enough imo.

Genia is cooked. He's been too big for his boots for years and there was one moment in the test against Fiji that summed it up for mine.

Had a box kick charged down, and as the player ran through after the ball, Genia's instinctive reaction was to throw his hands in the air and look at the ref. Not, blind panic and hunger to chase the ball down and prevent a possible try, but to gesticulate at the ref as though "oh it's unfair he charged me down!"

I don't give a fudge if you've played 200 tests or 2, if your instinctive reaction is to look for someone to blame for your fudge up, and not to first of all make sure it's not going to cost your team, then you're done.

He should be keelhauled for that.

Yeah, but the problem was that the only bloke that could replace him was a pimply faced teenager who showed the week before that he is not ready and the game was in the balance.
I reckon Jake Gordon may be a better bet for the bench for now.

I reckon he was a little overawed last week. He'll be fine.

Gordon looks great though.
