Terrorist dead on the Champs Elysees

Apologies if already mentioned.

A man threw his car against a gendarme vehicle on the Champs-Elysees. Looks like a kamikaze attack, the car lighted up with fire at the moment/right before the impact.

No injuries for the good guys, the terrorist is dead. The gendarmes extinguished the fire and then found 2 bottles of gas in the car along a Kalashnikov rifle. Terrorist known from the police services.

The police services are currently going through the usual stuff (vehicle check-up, scientific police, etc).

Everything will be back to normal soon says the guy on TV. This is becoming a routine...

Middle East civilians have been in that situation for about 30 years.

At some point, hopefully a good while from now, they'll realise that gas canisters in the car as a method of attack isn't massively effective. Iirc that's was the method of attack at Glasgow airport a few years ago and he just managed to torch himself.

Assuming that is what happened here.

This sounds less like a terrorist and more like a Darwin Award entry.

More like suicide by cop than proper terrorism. Doesn't sound like the most thoroughly thought out plan.

What's that got to do with it?

Does that make it more of a reason to accept it here?

Silly comment.
