Baby Blacks against the Lions

Based on the man shaming of a supposed awesome English Junior team maybe the Baby Blacks should be on the Schedule for the next Lions tour...in fact based on that power house performance they would demolish the Lions now with just 14 men. :)

This is the best Baby Blacks team I have seen. They marmelised teams, not through forward smashes, but through skill and speed of thought.

They might be marmelised themselves against the Lions pack today, but boy would they fok them up once they had grown up a little.

Outstanding U20 RWC winners and not a hint of roids or 'just gym monkeys' about them.

The new standard.

I am the only one that thinks that Baby Blacks team wasn't that special and it was more a case of the usual challengers having fallen away badly from previous years?

Made a similar point on the main U20 thread. This was the poorest year for some time I reckon. The Kiwis are the only ones that brought a truly competitive team, and even they relied heavily on individual brilliance at times, instead of being made to work for it.

Yeah they weren't that great, some great skills on show but while it was enjoyable to watch some of the other close games, the usually strong teams Weren't great, and I think I read somewhere that England were missing a few players.

I think some of them were on the senior tour to Argentina. Others will know better, but the 18 year old Curry was impressive against the Barbarians and Pumas.

Who knows. They seemed pretty decent but apart from seemingly razer no one thought the squad England sent to the championships had a hope in hell of winning it

No I think its more we took it seriously this time and were too good.

Also best thing was it wasnt close. You dont see greatness in 3 point wins at this level. You put up 50-60 points then you really know youe young talent is good. If we won by say 4 points it would be lame cause it could be just down to coaching rather than superior skills. For NZ close wins at tournaments like this are pointless.

Its only satisfying for the future if we destroy teams like this

These guys must be disappointed. Everyone else went on to greater things, but no-one has ever heard of these.

Peter Fitz was saying in Sydney that the only future for the Wannabies is through the Juniors...without them they're seriously fuced.

No they just had even more fat polys than usual this year, which is deadly at U20 level. Will Jordan is a good player though, if I had to put money on one of them playing for the All Blacks.

Well they lost to Scotland at U20 level too so at least they're consistent.
