Questions to be answered this season:

Who will win the Stanely Cup?

Will the Battle of Alberta have a play off edition this year?

Where will Tampa Bay and Miami play?

Can McJesus get Edmonton rated in the Lonely Planet?

Is Matthews better than McJesus?

Can the Canucks actually win the draft lottery?

Which American team will get the Bettman love?

Canucks and Flames prospects play today, both won their first games against the Jets and Oilers.

Vancouver finally has some decent prospects in their system.

Ouch......

Can McJesus get Edmonton rated in the Lonely Planet?
I HEAR THE JOINT HAS A BIG MALL, TOO.

Is Matthews better than McJesus?
 YOU HAVE BEEN READING TOO MANY TSN AND ROGERS SPORTSNET ARTICLES.

Can the Canucks actually win the draft lottery?
NOPE. LET THE CANUCKERS SUFFER A BIT MORE. I LIKE SCHADENFREUDE.

Which American team will get the Bettman love?

SEE YOUR FIRST QUESTION.

It is something to see what lengths TSN's Toronto-centrism can reach.

Personally, I think it is just posturing from both sides as an election for a new city council and mayor is happening next month.

Also, doubt the NHL wants to miss out on a $500 mil expansion fee for a team in Seattle. Also, wouldn't Vancouver need to be compensated in some way as Seattle has to be within their market/support base?

Calgary will get its new arena, and CanNZ will make his annual donation when the city doubles the property tax. :)

Afternoon Ladies. Sorry, been busy and really just a lurker these days.

Not really looking forward to this season with any hopes. If we can be within the top 40 teams I'll be happy enough.

Luckily we have the Van Giants, who are good for about 215th place in the WHL. :frown:

Universe is back to normal. Vancouver has a crappy hockey team. Rain season is on its way. Lower mainland traffic is at a standstill... Yup, everything is back to normal in Van City.

Our club had a great run but now things are back how they are meant to be for Vancouver hockey fans...

Go Canucks Go. Canuck fan for life.

Good to see you back, hornets.

It's freezing up here this morning. Just in time as the boys are lacing up the blades.

Pumped for the new season.

Rangers last year had a great offense, an ageing but still good Hank and a seriously ropy D core.
Over the summer they seriously upgraded the D but at what cost to that offense?

Shattenkirk in, which should upgrade our PP. DeAngelo in, which should also give the 2nd PP group a QB. Smith was a great pickup at the deadline and is back for more. Girardi gone. Staal on notice that he'll have to improve to retain his roster spot now that we have a Pionk, Day, Bereglazov, Graves as potential coming through. Our D "should" be seriously better this season, which hopefully allows Lundqvist a chance to have a solid year.

Stepan is gone and whilst he was always a borderline #1/#2 center we are trying to replace him with
Linburg lost to Vegas but pretty much replaced by Descharnais on the 4th line.

Still a tough division. Reckon it will be Pens vs Oilers for the cup.

The nucks will never, ever win the draft lottery, to answer the question in the OP.

Sedins want a couple more years in Van, it seems. Be interesting to see if they get it.

In other news, Derek Dorsett had a fun sounding operation

Guess the Canucks are using the "fog of war" strategy against the kings in their 2 games in China.

Can the Sens back up and make the final?

Will Don Cherry finally choke on his collar/tie and croak?

Love that Adidas is on-board now.
