Looks like there is an outbreak of mumps in the New zealand camp.

It's the only way we can avoid a trashing.

You could make a 1st 15 with the injured players at the moment

Food poisoning and gold watches have also helped in the past, I believe.

Only Rieko Ioane and Jack Goodhue at the moment. And of the two only Ioane was going to be in the match day team.

I have zero idea what the French team will look like. Any insights, Frenchies?

Also, re mumps, VACCINATE FFS!

I thought that might be the case as soon as I posted, but out of curiousity I'd like to know if Rieko was vaccinated.

France have had another two players ruled out overnight. That is sixteen players unable to be picked for the coming Test - http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/ar ... d=11941190

All signs point to a mercurial French upset.

Except this one: France suck dick and NZ are no.1 in the world. You have to quit living in the past and keep with the times. France didn't suck dick those times they pulled a win out of their asses vs the AB, they were brilliant just incredibly inconsistent. Right now they're not brilliant. They suck major cock. There's a fine nuance between the two, but it is perceptible.

Kaino out injured, Luke Whitelock called up to the All Black squad. Well done to him, he's worked bloody hard to earn a recall after his one and only test cap back in 2013. Hard luck for Kaino but I think that's the end of his test career.

Highlanders and Canterbury loose forward Luke Whitelock has been called into the All Blacks squad on tour in France.

He replaces injured loosie Jerome Kaino who suffered a posterior cruciate ligament injury against the Barbarians last weekend.

The 26-year-old Canterbury skipper played against the All Blacks for the Barbarians at Twickenham last Saturday (Sunday NZT), and has been called up out of the invitation side which meets Tonga in Limerick on Friday.

He has one All Blacks test cap to his name after coming on as a substitute in a 54-6 win over Japan in Tokyo 2013.

Whitelock is likely to feature in the match against a French XV in Lyon next Tuesday (Wednesday NZT) when the All Blacks back up after Saturday's test against France in Paris.

The All Blacks also received a boost at their Tuesday training session with star wing Rieko Ioane taking a full part after his recent bout of mumps.

Shows the difference between both. The crowd is so far from the pitch at the SDF, it's ridiculous. The Parc des Princes is so much better to get close to the action. :(

Surely more relevant, no? France gave NZ a surprisingly good run that night, unlucky not to nick it iirc (was there an intercept or am I imagining it?). Not expecting much from this time.

In the past, a test match vs the All Blacks was always something of a pure delight. Nowadays, sure I'll watch the game, but I am not even looking forward to it.

We will lose, and potentially get humbled one more time. We should not play the All Blacks anymore, and yet we're playing them... 5 times (!!!) this season, the most ever in our History I guess. It's ridiculous. One of these days over in NZ, we are bound to receive a 100 point hammering.

The only Autumn test match I am really looking forward is South Africa. They're a much better team than us, but at home and at this time of year, we may present some sort of a challenge.

No I'd say that's really not looking at it the right way, because individually France have the talent. Which is worse, in a sense, to constantly be one step behind but not ten. Let me give you an example: in June 2013 France tours NZ, and they're coming right off the WOODEN SPOON, so in the midst of monumental historical failure, literally their worst Six Nations ever. During those three tests, they "only" conceded 2 tries then 3 tries then 2 tries and the first and last tests were actually fairly close before a dagger try by the AB in the closing moments. Later that year in November, France play another pretty close game and end up losing by 7 at home.

They still have about the same amount of talent from 1 to 15 that they had during the Saint-André/Lagisquet years, but also the same utter ineptness in the coaching staff. They're not going to lose games by 50pts, but they'll never accomplish anything of any significance whatsoever in this current setting. They have top attackers, Gourdon Picamoles Penaud Lamerat Fofana Serin Lopez Dupont Nakaitaci Vakatawa... but the attacking shape of my soap in my shower.

It will be a massive test to play NZ but then again, it is for most teams. I dont see France wining the game but I hope we can push them all the way. Lamerat is out of the group now too, Fickou in. No Lopez. Still a decent pack with a lively SH. Let's see what they can do!

No. The All Blacks played Italy after the Chicago anomaly then trounced Ireland in Dublin (3 tries to none whilst playing a man down for a quarter of the match) then a tough game against the French in Paris.
