Gatland has something explove on the AB's

Maybe diarrhoea.

Not sure if a Redrebel, but:
Warren Gatland's 'explosive' insinuations light the fuse as All Blacks-Wales looms

[...]

Here's what Gatland writes in his book: "I have heard of some things about the All Blacks that could be quite explosive if they were made public, and if it does get dirty then I will raise a couple of those things. At the moment I'm just keeping my counsel."

He's 'heard' some things.

I 'heard' Steve Tew is sailing around Fiji kidnapping 12 year olds and that Robbie Deans was an NZRU plant.

He may not know anything but I'm damn sure he reckons something, so why not tell us his reckons?

It's certainly a weird accusation to make without following through.

He comes across as nasty and more than a little desperate, I think.

I wonder if Hansen can goad him into revealing this hearsay. It's a pretty cowardly statement to make from the safety of a book without any detail. Either spit it out and face the consequences if you are wrong (a defamation case would liven up the off season), or keep quiet.

No doubt, despite this latest outburst, he'll still be scratching his head and playing the victim card if a negative word is said about him next time he's home.

He came across like that a decade ago

Is Flatland seriously considering a career as the ABs coach in the future or was that bridge burnt a while ago?

It'll be covfefe, that's about the only explove I can think of.

Unless he signs a sawn afterdavided, anything explove will be meaningless. He's snecky like that.

Typical of him really. Uses the media to his advantage to make cheap shots but can't cop it when someone does the same to him. Massive bellend, always has been. Hope he stays over there.

I feel embarrassed for his son, having to read all of this shit and then trying to defend him

Yeah, he's quite the hypocrite in how he uses the media when it suits him, but is so thin-skinned when they publish something he doesn't like. There's plenty of other coaching talent around. No loss if he doesn't come back.

I'd rather Joe Schmidt or Dave Rennie got the job once they have done their apprenticeship. Gatland is well down the list.

Gatland has never been on the list. If he had been, the NZRU would have offered him more than a low paid assistant role at the Chiefs when Gatland was on his knees begging.

He's clearly a good coach so what counted him out?

Has he always been an asshole, going back to his days as rake in the Waikato scrum?

A pretty handy team mate of his, Ian Foster, seems to be doing quite well without doing anything of note with any side, ever.

Won't tow the party line? Maybe he's destined to be another Carwyn James/Brian Clough. Evidently good enough for the top job in his country, but consistently overlooked because the authorities saw a wild cannon/someone they couldn't control.

Evidently good enough?

No way. He's overlooked because he lacks coaches teams in a manner that is anathema to NZ rugby, and he clearly does not have the temperament for the top job. He's consistently displayed insecurity, defensiveness and hubris - not a good combination for arguably the most scrutinized job in the country.

The last time he deigned to even try to follow the necessary pathway was back in 2006, when he was clearly behind Henry, Deans and Hansen for the top job. Even if NZR threw their doors open and offered up the role to every kiwi coach worldwide, right now on merit he rates behind the likes of Schmidt, Rennie, Cotter and probably even Scott Robertson for the top job among his countrymen (setting aside the fact that Foster is clearly the heir apparent).

This latest barrel scraping is evidence of an embittered, ball-less man.

If NZR were impressed by any of the staff on the Lions tour is surely would have been Andy Farrell. Now there's a coach we need to poach.

Probably turning down a Super Rugby job in Dunedin cause he didn't want to move his family, followed by moving them to Wales.

And he wonders why he's not well liked

So Wazza Gazza has explove dirt on the ABs, so explove that he didn't use it to win the Lions Series, but is willing to dip into the notebook for Wales. MmmHmmm, sure. Righto then.
