Who is involved in this on here? I think bobbity, but maybe others.

A friend of mine has a Downs son aged 17. The guy is phenomenally strong and hyperactive. Just thought it might be an outlet for him, especially as his his dad who has no interest in rugby says he's focussed on it.

Anyone know anything about any of these schemes or where I could look for them. North/east London would be ideal.

Cheers.

I don't know about London, but we have a couple of teams here that do it

A more phenomenally uplifting and joyous thing you will struggle to find anywhere.

is this thing about Downs syndrome people being very strong just a myth ? the lad in my school in the year above was just large built, he wasn't strong at all - is it just a boundaries thing because they like hugging and stuff so might just seem exhuberant whereas someone else would hang back a bit more ?

oh an its a genuine question, not trying to be all Testarossa here

In my limited and completely unscientific experience, where n=4, no, it's not a myth

Just searched for mixed ability rugby to update the thread and saw this. Apologies, I'm not around as much these days.

I can message the chaps at Warriors and see what they have to say. We had a visit from the community set up at London Irish a few weeks back, not sure where they are with it. I'll get back to you.
