Someone on The Roar who appears to be Argentinian says they called a long pass a Zeppelin pass. I love it! :D

Anyone heard this before? Was it a common term down there?

I think I remember Globus saying he was getting zeppelins passes rather than bullets from his scrummie on that terrible day that he got buried by Thurrock’s back row.

So they’re probably not a good thing, (or maybe they are).

No they are not! They float in the air for ages and the opposition backrow lines you up.

As a 10 you have to decide to bury your head in the pitch or take the inevitable punishment.

I made the wrong decision.

floated passes almost never work really, best thing is to take the tackle and sort of basketball pop the ball over as you are taken to ground - but huge wind up miss 3 25m passes are rarely a good thing for the team in possession imho
