Excellent. Kepu can serve out his suspension there whilst staying in Sydney.

They probably just want a weekend away where they can relax from being robbed, raped and set on fire (not necessarily in that order). Maybe also to hear somebody say something funny.

Maybe also to hear somebody say something funny, or even find an Internet forum that isn’t powered by hamsters and does continual double post bollocks and white outs !

Read the Cheetahs' coach, Rory Duncan, on why they prefer travelling to Europe, instead of Oz/NZ.

“It’s exciting for us to go to new territories and see new places – we’ve been going to Australia and New Zealand for so many years ... There are no preconceived notions and with the teams we play against, so we’ve got a fresh slate and approach".
Duncan said the travel factor had improved compared with how it used to be with the trips to Australasia.

“From a travel perspective, there’s been a big difference to travelling to New Zealand and Australia. You fly in overnight and you can do a flush-out session later that afternoon, and you don’t have to worry about who slept and who didn’t".

What is that? A preseason attempt to get used to jet lagging around the world? What is the point of the US game unless they're being paid a fortune for it...

"The Vodacom Super Rugby pre-season warmup match, that was supposed to be played between the Vodacom Bulls and the DHL Stormers in Los Angeles has been cancelled due to issues regarding the agreed upon transfers and logistics. Player welfare and the management thereof are extremely important to the Vodacom Bulls as well as the DHL Stormers, and will not be compromised on in this regard."

The match will now take place on Saturday, February 3 at Boland Stadium in Wellington.

The SA teams are really hurting at TH prop this season. Malherbe out for a lengthy spell at the Stormers, only Louw as a first choice...someone will have to step up. The Sharks are missing Coenie so will need to rely on a stop-gap. Lions only have Dreyer, the most penalized prop in the history of rugby. Will be interesting to see what happens and who steps up.

Other positions I'm really looking at this year for Bok options would be 9s and 10s. Let's hope it's a good year for that. Oh and midfielders. And wings.

They might field a near full strength team for one of the warm up matches, any more than that would be stupid. These teams are just testing their depth and maybe nursing previously injured first line players back into the fold. The results are irrelevant. The Super Rugby schedule is crazy though already, no need to put the "A" team players under even further strain by playing them in multiple pre-season friendlies.

All that said, I can't wait for things to kick off.

Not the welcome I was hoping for, but luckily I am not an overly sensitive soul. Did your chick leave you for a Bulls player or what? Just trying to figure out why you're so hostile to a Bulls supporter that is a complete stranger?
