Nod. Happy New Year you fella guitar fan.
Busted fingers mean I'm back to playing right handed. And I'm terrible. Pop over to Oundle, I shall attempt to collect the gang.
I'll let you lot play and just dispense drinks. Big cop out but I'll pop in an appearance.
I'll run the backing to "Freak Out". You can wander all over it.

There's a great riff in there that finds its way into many songs that just hit's the right spot for me - it originates in the blues probably by John Lee Hooker but its structure has been used by many including The Stones (Shake your Hips) and ZZ Top (La Grange).

I'd put sunshine of your love on par with Layla.
Some others I've always had soft spot for.
Wasted years- iron maiden
Big exit- PJ Harvey (great album opening riff)
The bends- Radiohead (for no-nonsense power riff/ let down, if you fancy a little more understated)
Fame- Bowie for awesome funk riff
