Or ‘Perry’, short for ‘Perry Neeham’

Or ‘Givusaf’ or ‘Uvsituptherongun’, depending on how you’ll order it to ‘heel’

A fellow churchgoer, who is wheelchair bound, has a wonderful dog that really seems to look after her.

She decided to name it as a reversal of letters as "God".

We were at a communion service when I helped her to the altar to receive the bread and wine and blessing from our Reverend.

Her faithful companion decided to come up the central aisle to his mistress.

She turns round and shouts "God" "God". Members of the congregation, who do not know her dog's name were a bit taken aback.

I think some of them thought she had suddenly received a visitation!

Dogs are just wonderful. It's some of the owners who are not.

Brian as the dog is likely to be a very naughty boy.

I'm going to get 2 dogs in the near future and I want to call the male Slartibartfast or Zloty and the female Gorgonzola, which allows for a few different shortenings. Pretentious, probably, but htat suits me to a T.

Pongo & Monty make me think that just about any member of the Drones club (or the good old Pelican) provides a good dog's name. Fruity, Tuppy, Beefy, Plug, Mustard, Stinker, Buffy, Nobby, Bicky, Biffy, Chuffy, Corky, Gussie, Boko, Barmy, Kipper, Bingo, Catsmeat, Sippy, Rocky, Stilton. Perhaps not Stiffy nowadays...

‘Bertie’, if you’re going down that route. Though I think it’s better to have a name that (a) doesn’t end in y or ie (as too many dog names do); and (b) will attract instant attention and hilarity when shouted in the park.

One of my friends has a Bassett Hound called ‘Ipkiss’, which works well.

My vote is for ‘Akbar’

Me and the missus would love a dog but can't due to renting the house from a sheep farmer who owns the field next door. So we found a lost pup last week, tried all the vets and the guards, no joy. So took him home posted him on social media and found the owner very quickly. But then complete radio silence from the owne after I told him we were an hour away.
So after the new year period and lots of prods from us but no response we contacted an animal charity who advised us to contact the guards again and the pound, just to ensure that if they (animal charity) took him, it was all legal.
Finally today the owner has agreed to pick the dog up,after the guards, and the pound explained the dog would be put down or cost him money to retrieve( the pound, guards And us would not have let him get put
down)

What an irresponsible cünt, I feel bad about giving the dog back to him, he's a great pup

I have suggested Montgomery (Monty) for the founding father of the Parachute Regt.

If no-one's mentioned it, surely 'Allahu Ackbar' (for short - 'Allahu Ackbar, die you infidel pigs, the Prophet awaits me as soon as that puppy over there shits for Jihad!' in a more formal setting)

Calling him at the park might be a bit risky. Bound to be reported to the anti terrorist police.

"Some nutter in the park is shouting Allahu Akber".....

It gets worse when the puppy has run away and you are shouting that out the window while driving erratically in your panic to find him.
