I agree. However she can be headless on occasions, but in attack and in the rucks England do not appear to have another classic 7 who has the complete Openside CV. Separately I believe Poppy Cleall is a superior 8 to Sarah Hunter right now. I also think Cleall's twin sister Bryony should be looked at by England for another big ball carrying 6/8 who is a pain in the rucks. I reckon Hunter could extend her career and allow for a more dynamic backrow by moving to lock. Taylor's, what, 36 now? Doing well. Not likely to be in the next WRWC, surely.

It does seem that a lot of fair banter goes round the england camp and they take it in good spirits. Deffo seems a very fun couple of squads to be part of.
That mate and I love these too and can't understand why others haven't copied. They have to be dead-easy to produce. The only social media I've seen in Canada recently are clips of provincial players doing the most incredibly basic drills.
We're talking about shooting our own to promote better practice (he's a uni women's coach so has the players and space), and might even get into focusing on the personalities, hopefully making local heroes of some of the athletes among the schools with promote them to.

That's a good call. They have tended to throw Cleall into lock to add bulk to the scrum but Hunter could be a good call, though, but she would have to get past Burnfield who is playing superbly right now and I think Abby Scott is nailed on.
It seems Taylor and Rocky will go on forever right now. I do believe New Zealand have a couple of players pushing 40 last world cup and I can see both players just being unwilling to quit rugby by choice, they seem to live for it and I don't think kids are on the agenda for either and they both a hugely respected in the England squad, I suspect they coach the youngsters a lot. Still it's a wonderful selection problem for them to have.

I know the French women's games will be shown live on French TV (TF4), but does anyone know if they will be streamed, so we can see them in the UK?

No I think about it, I recall the women's games were available on the 6N Youtube channel last year. Hopefully they'll do the same this year.

Not sure, they all get made available on YouTube afterwards though.

She just needed to draw and pass but she got greedy. Wales had a superb maul there though.

Yeah they've made a few amateur mistakes but that was a really good try well made and well taken.

The Welsh team is genuinely a work in progress. A couple of years ago the women's player base was literally in the hundreds in Wales but player numbers have exploded to like 10k. So much of the team is new or only a few years in. Last year they had the pack to grind out scores, but now they are making additions, and getting more skillful players developed. It's slowly starting to show through.

Indeed. I can't believe how much they have improved in that area. Barely a tackle missed in the entire half.
FFS Jodie Evans, does she ever look outside herself? Doesn't want to pass then throws it away with the crap non-offload.

Great turnover by Phillips. The Welsh defense is immense. Hopefully they can get a 4th try for a bonus point.

I hate when referees do that in women's games!
We were in a Prem final when our crossfitter Saffer openside smashed an opponent, nice and legal, leaving her sprawling and crying (youngster, out of her depth at that level, but coach's daughter... ). Ref and his assistant had a discussion and gave ours a yellow card. I normally never say a word on the touchlines, but saw what was coming when they started chatting so yelled, asking if it was high, a shoulder, a tip (it was none of those).
Had happened earlier in the season, too, when our national team 8 hit their scrum half hard, she put an arm down and broke her wrist. Low driving tackle, someone gets hurt, must be a yellow.

Thought that pass was forward, but looked fine second time. Scotland not giving this game up without a fight. Been as they managed to win it last season they could sneak this one with 20 mins left as well.

Doesn't help Scotland are killing the ball by flopping over it in the ruck and the ref is doing nothing.

Considering that women's lower body strength is more equal to men's compared to upper body what's the main obstacle to them getting decent kicking distance? Just the leverages?
