Interesting to note that, as per most years, our best player is not there as he's made the jump up to the big boys (Will Jones, he who judo throws you if you start a scuffle, is with the Ospreys)

don't worry our lads won't be to big for you this year Jeff. Even the lad that's unavailable training with the seniors looks about 12

We're going to rolling with a smallish backrow at least. I note Sam Moore is deemed not big enough to nail down a No.8 position...whereas our starting No.8 played for the Dragons the other week as a small openside (5 foot 11 inches). :?

It is as it ever was.

Still, I look forward to the U20's 6 nations almost as much as the real thing. As long as the games don't blow out, they are invariably entertaining affairs.

We're even playing a back row at lock. We're tiny I promise (although no Randall this year unfortunately)

Yeah, always enjoy watching the U20s. Interesting to try and figure out who's going to make it big.

I love watching the u20s. The games are always entertaining - fast and open. And we tend to be quite good. With the bonus that I get nowhere near as nervous and losing doesn't piss me off for the whole week.

Grayson's looked okay the couple of times I've seen him. Obviously got a big name at 10 to try and live up to.

Several LI lads involved this year. The two starting (Parton and Loader) probably the most promising. Parton played plenty last year and did pretty well until getting run over by some big polynesian lads in the JWC final. Filled out a bit now though and doing well at London Scottish. Loader's just the next promising wing off the production line, fairly big and quick

You're not going to win this one Margin, the Welsh are small plucky skillful underdogs, the English are roided up orcs relying purely on brute force. Even when it's rarely conceded that the Welsh lads are bigger, the English still have greater physicality, and are therefore roided up orcs relying purely on brute force.

Not perfectly due to some players not getting released due to playing for senior sides.

I assume you mean the world cup sides are generally stronger?

We may also have the future scotland captain, Redpath, playing at 10 before the end of the year.

Think the Ireland hooker is the younger brother of former Leinster and current Connacht winger Cian Kelleher.

Ireland captain and 12 Tommy O'Brien seems like one to watch from Ireland. He played u20s last year as well.

Wales v Scotland is live on BBC2 Wales tonight.

Either Channel 971 on Sky, or via iplayer (Choose Category>Wales>BBC2>Watch Live)

The fullback - Cai Evans - is the son of Ieuan. Hope he's inherited his father's pace and stepping ability...

Eh? Ieuan was a good defender - always brought his man down.

The 3rd Lions Test in SA in 1997 was an example of "you don't know what you've got till it's gone."

Bentos came in and a previously watertight channel was being smashed open time and again.

To be fair I might be mixing him up, a bit before my time. Actually I might be thinking of the loud mouth aussie that helped Ieuan win that Liosn series.

Campo? Yeah, tackling wasn't his forte! Though that was more throwing a blind pass behind his own tryline that contributed to that particular balls-up!

Are the games televised ? Can't see the Italy England game advertised on any channels.

Two England home games are on Sky iirc. Not looking promising for Friday unless it's on Italian TV and streamable. RFU certainly don't seem to be running a stream.

It'll be streamed on the FIR facebook page

Facebook hates me.

The FIR link no longer works for me and I can't find it on the RFU page. It's not under Videos.

Italy were offside quite a bit throughout that goal line defense haha.

Ah well, you get away with it, for the most part you've done well.
