Given how much we are contributing to the national squad, that is a pretty strong starting XV for us.

For Italy's game against Ireland, I think the ones in blue are Benetton. They will be into the 2nd string too.
Minozzi; Benvenuti, Boni, Castello, Bellini; Allan, Violi; Quaglio, Bigi, Ferrari, Zanni, Budd, Negri, Steyn, Parisse (capt).
Replacements: Ghiraldini, Lovotti, Pasquali, Ruzza, Mbanda, Gori, Canna, Hayward.

With Wales, Scarlets and Llanelli RFC all in action this weekend, there is ahell of a lot of Llanelli based players active. Much to be proud about.

I've been to that stadium in the sun and in the rain, we lost both times. Had to go to Parma to see the Scarlets win in Italy. Priestland got a kick from the touchline!

Wasn't that the kick that got us into the playoffs?

I'm talking season before last - think so, and got us into Europe when the pissprays didn't.

Scarlets are probably lucky it's Treviso they're playing, to get used to the impact of losing huge numbers of players to international selection. If their wider squad can step up it'll make continued success easier. I hope they build on last year because I like the way Scarlets play and they continue the trend of entertaining rugby winning the Pro-12/14.

To be fair, I would put that team up against several opponents in the Pro12 and think we have a good chance of winning it. The reason we are now champions I think is threefold - base of 5/6 really good players to start with, development of attacking play by Stevo, quality overseas signings at low rates. We competed last season so well, because of our squad. We lost the first 3 games, and then won 17/19, losing only to Leinster and Os. People say we hit our peak at the right time - season end, but maybe forget somewhat our run was 19/21 (inl SF and F). Regardless, Treviso would have the weakest 2nd string of those hardest hit at 6N time (along with Leinster, Munster and Glasgow I would say).

Ddn't get to see it, but from what I hear, a shocker of a performance from us.

Benetton 22-12 Scarlets FT

The Italians also get a bonus point.

Shitty weekend of rugby, indeed!

I see glimeers of hope for Italian rugby...Treviso is totally in game for po: 7 victories this year. Plus a bonus point win against the Champions is not too bad for a hopeless rugby Nation :D :D :D

Yeah, but after a about 3 games last season, Tommy Seymour had more tries the entire Scarlett backbone.
