Especially if they cost US$730.00 per child, naturally all to be paid for by the parents.

no ways - little kids ruin & outgrow their clothes at warp speed, so as long as they keep them warm enough, they should be as cheap as possible.
for my girls its 5 of everything, tights socks pinafores summer dresses & white polo shirts, think they only have 2 jumpers each. Mostly bought from supermarkets except M&S for the dresses and the tights as apparently they are much better quality and last, and they are only a few quid more.

my wife deals with all of this so I could of course be speaking utter bollocks as I wouldn't recognise a Poundland grey pair of tights from an Armani one. I don't even know if Poundland sell uniforms !

Kids usually play so much that their clothes get worn, torn, grass stained amazingly quickly. That does not apply to this school as it has an artificial turf ground.

At least there's some style ... could be worse. You could be attending a school that hasn't changed uniforms since the Edwardian era.

That’s cheap!

My daughter goes to a private school in Clapham, London. 30+ pieces of uniform cost about £900.

Unbelieavable.

You pay for the school and they are still tight - She won a trophy for junior dramatics for 2017. They trophy came with a note saying please engrave in the same font - cheap bastards! Cost

The, quite frankly, unbelievable cost of private education in London. I did think of that - it’s a sub thread to child care. The worst part is the amount of time off they have and the inevitable child care costs of the holidays. Easter? It’s a month off? Xmas ? It’s a month off with half term 4 weeks later. Scandalous

Ugh ... I had to have a look at my life recently when friends were talking about childcare and mentioned the costs. Monthly fees in their city are more than I make in a month. :uhoh: (Librarians work for pennies in many cases ... )

It’s a specialist place that you have to order from and a completely unique uniform as far as I understand. A place in Mayfair as they have a sister school on Piccadilly.

Getting shafted basically

That is a private school but the one I mention in the OP is a public school.
