Now now. No need to be rude to the nice Welsh posters. If you are trying to wind up that Dai character you have become more imaginary Welsh than the imaginary Welsh themselves.

I thought official threads were a wind up free zone?

I dont think an official 6 Nations thread for the match is the place to score imaginary points against your virtual enemies.

It is unbecoming and gives us a very bad name.

With every good wish

I always go by that rule. I would expect others to follow suit? The 6 Nations is a time for rugby kinship and enjoying the sport. Not baiting imaginary enemies with silly comments and nicknames.

Best wishes

A brief window into the PR experience of someone who doesn't support England. Thanks for that, that was lovely

The pivotal game for both teams. Ireland, still unbeaten, have had a poor record against Wales in recent years who seem to easily nullify a rather blunt Irish attack. Wales need to win this to keep hopes of a championship alive or risk a basement level fight with the Scots for fifth place.

I expect lots of niggle in this but Ireland by a score.

I cheer on Wales with gusto when they play. I roared Teddy Thomas over the line twice yesterday! France are back I said... I may know nothing but at least I enjoy it all.

There is no need to refer to Wales as "England Minor" because of the ravings of some tedious dullard in another post clearly designed to bait angry Irish people.

Yours in rugby

Inclined to agree.
I love watching Ireland, and Wales-Ireland is probably my most enjoyable match of the 6N - no animosity, and generally tight/competitive games.

Hopefully the opening poster can change the thread title.

6 Nations Rugger > Tedious Dullard Wums

It's only on here that I've ever seen Welsh-Irish aggro - in reality it's always a great spirit, as with Scotland. They knock lumps out of each other on the pitch, no need for us to do the same off it.

Very disappointing thread title. Very nasty, very petulant, very Irish.

I think “England Minor “ was Mullet’s idea and he was all chuffed himself . God bless the big harmless cuddly insular self righteous misogynist

Well, we're allowed do it too.....

Think we'll need to try to revert to the template from 2014. Not sure we will but it's our best chance.

We could go with something radical given the absence of Dan I collect my own bombs thank you very much Biggar and choose a FB who knows what the phrase transition defence to attack means rather than Get into my way so's I can create another ruck Kearney.

You may say that I'm a dreamer...

I do love this supposed unity the Irish have when it comes to rugby.

I’ve been to Belfast many times and the people there do tend to think those south of Belfast are domineering with little thought given to Nordie players and fans. Dublin runs the show, and those in Northern Ireland have got to play to their tune.

In recent times the rivalry between the two teams has gone up a mark or two. The hate the Irish fans possess towards the Welsh team is a bit confusing but nevermind.

I'm Irish and it confuses me too. Wales would typically be my "second team" from the NH.

Gatland says the Welsh players dislike the Irish the most in the 6N. You could see in last year's match how they felt, they played like they'd rather die than lose to Ireland at home.

It's not the welsh team we hate tbf. It all derives from Gatland's ability to hold a perma-grudge like a 106 year old gypsy clan leader.

We all get on so lovely I’m probably going to pick up that guaranteed Irish passport as soon as Brexit lays economic waste to the carcass that was once the U.K.

I’ll still shout for Wales (what’s left of it) in the rugby and soccer, but every other sport, the U.K. can suck a gas outlet and I’m going to fiddle-dee-fecking-dee my way in a big fecking green top.

I'd take a heavy Wales defeat here if it means Ireland don't win the 6 Nations. Unfortunately logic would probably mean the opposite.

Think Ireland half backs will be too strong and will be the difference. Although 2/3rds of this Welsh team plus Liam will have very fond memories of last time they played in this stadium which might help
