Walesonline will deliver later in the week. We're shit basically.

Indo have done theirs. 9-6 to us and for once, not batshit crazy. Wales' 6 were Halfpenny, Williams, Evans, Navidi, Jones and Owens.

AWJ?

Yes.

I see now.

On the form of this 6N I'd have Shingler ahead of POM tbf.

And no one will convince me Ken Owens is better than Rory, no one.

He said he'd have Shingler ahead of POM, and tbh on form so far I would too.

You’re referring to his combined side?

9 Welsh -
Halfpenny
Liam
North
Scott Williams
Shingler
Navidi
AWJ
Owens
Rob Evans

Hard to argue against any of those, with only Rob Evans the contentious one as he seems to be massively underrated generally.

I'd rate Leavy higher than Navidi. Healy/ McGrath better than Evans as well.

The rest I agree with.

My comment was his other article. The one saying why Wales will win.

It's actually not hard.

E.g.

Quote:
Leavy is a blindside playing out of position at openside and a real Test rookie.

This isn't even right.

I'm more worried about Parkes. A very intelligent player. Conrad Smith like in his vision.

Haven’t read that one yet and doubt I’ll bother.
Navidi and Evans have both been outstanding for Wales in their last few outings, but I’ll admit I haven’t seen enough on Leavy nor Healey lately to make it a call with 100% conviction.

No. Williams is at 13. They’ve picked Aki over Parkes - which is a very close call imo.

Oh, I meant it’s hard to argue against the selections. Howells logic is easy to argue against.

12 Parkes, 13 Aki and 6 Leavy, 7 Navidi; going on this 6N. Bit of shuffling, but that's how I'd pick a team made up of Leekists and Paddies.

I’d agree on the 12 and 13 but you’d really leave Shingler out?

I just like Navidi's hair. Leavy has been the pick of our flankers and was excellent off the bench against France. Probably a shoot out between him and Navidi for 7, with Shingler at 6, really.

Hmm. Stick Leavy at 8 and we have a deal 🙂

Form selection below .....

Halfpenny (playing considerably better than Kearney)
Earls (in great form while Liam Williams has been crocked)
Aki (more of a 12 but better than Farrell and Scott Williams)
Parkes
Stockdale (in try scoring form while George North has been crocked)
Sexton
Murray

Healy (same as Evans but without the constant hinging in scrums)
Best (by stint of his breakdown work)
Furlong
Henderson
AWJ
Shingler (well ahead of POM)
Navidi
Stander/Conan/POM all better options than Moriarty at 8

5 Welsh ..... just about right

Can’t agree with that - Steff Evans over Stockdale if you want current form. Personally I’d go with a back three of - 11. Evans 15. Williams, 14. North but god knows what we’ll see. Also, Faletau is back.

Let’s face it, most of the head to head calls are marginal, with a couple of standout head and shoulders above their counterparts on each side.

This should be a cracker of a game. Two very good sides. Wales now with a full strength squad to choose from, battle hardened from their exploits against England and confident from their demolition of Scotland. Ireland maybe a little under cooked but with Home advantage.

I'd have had Ireland as big favourites before the start of the 6N but now, too close to call - Wales to edge it, maybe.

Will be close but Ireland by 7 for me. Home advantage to count

Match ups don't really count for a great deal unless, the gap in class one to 15 is vast, if you look at Connor and Sexton you would have to say they are one of the best halfbacks in the world.
But starve them of ball and they become less of a threat, its the combinations that work the best on the day that count, backrow back three and so on. Wales by 8.

Wales really ought to win, as long as they don't lose their nerve - they are pretty much at full strength while Ireland are missing a few big names.
