From FFR twitter:
Quote:
La FFR confirme que certains joueurs sont entendus par les autorités Écossaises. Nous sommes en attente de plus d'informations.

Owain Jones on twitter says the players involved are said to be Picamoles, Iturria, Ben Arous and Thomas, and were in an altercation with Scottish fans following which they were detained and prevented from flying.

That's how you know this team is actually progressing. Now they fight Scottish fans instead of fighting each other.

The French love being arrested in Edinburgh.

I guess it's marginally better than beating up a table.

Especially Polynesian tables, which can fight back.

So is this the same as the sexual assault enquiry? Was proven that the claim was false.

From the BBC.

Quote:
In a Tweet the French Rugby Union confirmed some players have been spoken to by the Scottish authorities.

Police Scotland said inquiries had established no crime had been committed and no arrests were made.

A report of sexual assault was made in the early hours of Monday.

The French rugby teams' plane was delayed during the questioning.

It follows their defeat to Scotland in the Six Nations on Sunday.

The team's chartered Jet2 flight to Paris Orly was due to leave at 11:00 but left two hours later.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Following an initial report of sexual assault in Edinburgh city centre during the early hours of Monday 12 February, police conducted various lines of inquiry, including speaking to a number of potential witnesses.

"These inquiries have established that no crime has been committed."

My money is on Teddy Thomas but the Irish might have already filed a complaint against him in Paris.

What a shame.

They deserve to be locked up and the Scots are welcome to them, Teddy Thomas apart.

More controversy:
https://www.rugbyrama.fr/rugby/xv-de-fr ... tory.shtml

Brunel stating the players did not have permission to "go on the town" which is a contradiction to what the players claimed, ergo, someone is lying.

Great start to Brunel's reign when 2nd match in he has players showing 2 fingers to his authority.

To be sure they knew Edinburgh is a City not a town so all is fine!

Who'd you ENJOY seeing dropped for this, if Brunel does get licence to?

Well, if we have an Embra police officer on this board, would he mind adding Vakatawa's name at the front of the list with a note adding that he was the obvious ring leader?

Shots fired. Thomas, Picamoles, Macalou, Lambey, Iturria, Lamerat, Belleau, Danty and Lapandry all out of the squad for the Italy game for taking the night out without permission from the staff.

Well there are a lot of small to massive downgrades in the team now yeah. TD for Belleau, Tao for Iturria, Grosso for Thomas, Fickou for Lamerat...

On the other hand White Nonu is back.

You're deluded if you think Wales and England are more important than the Wooden Spoon decider. The Italy game is the one Brunel can't afford to lose.

We will get demolished by both Engand Wales. The important game for a team of our level is Italy, because they very well could beat, they are not as bad as their recent scores suggest and also they will not implode in the last 20' against us, because we are not fitter than them. I predict a very close game.

Nah, its a good decision by Brunel.

If he has any hope of sorting France out a statement of intent like this is just the tonic, this years 6N is now a write off from their perspective, they have lost 2 games with 2 tough ones to come now is the time to stamp your authority.
