Proper time for the game, not a fan of the 7 pm kickoffs. First game or 2 are usually scrappy, but cannot wait to see how we manage our flyhalf situation.

Flyhalf and midfield worries me.

Hello saffer13.

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack your thread, but can you please point me to any websites/links/contact details/etc re playing rugby (incl scholarships, etc) at University on the West Coast of USA. Many thanks.

Awful game to start with for the Stormers. It's always an ugly and unsatisfying game.

Get used to it. The next 5 weeks are going to be uglier than a Kiwi sister for the Stormers. :(

That's when you just have to back your youngsters.

Should be a high scoring walkover for the Stormers......the Bulls smashed them by more than 7 and you know how shithouse the Bulls have become.

Preseason game against the Bulls was the Jaguares first real preparation match. Previously they've only have a couple of sessions against Argentina XV... they might still be a bit raw for this first match.

I wish Ledesma will go with Bertranou as his starting SH, he normally sets up quicker and faster ball for the backs than Landajo, and also provides some extra defenisve coverage at the rucks...

They need all the help they can get. I hear their objective for the season is to win at least one play-off game, if they make it that far.

Hopefully the catchment areas are getting good amounts. The posts I was seeing was from rivers flowing into dams on farms, etc. specifically in the EC regions though.

True, raining in Gbay or CT is meaningless in terms of the dams, we need it in the catchment areas

Bok lock Pieter-Steph du Toit is set to miss the Stormers' Super Rugby opener against the Jaguares at Newlands this Saturday due to a back injury.

With Eben Etzebeth also unavailable for the Stormers, Chris van Zyl and JD Schickerling are now likely to start in the second row.

Meanwhile, the good news is that a fully-fit Wilco Louw should be able to start in the front row.

I thought EW Viljoen is back - if so, based on last years form I would start him. I would not start Louw - in view of his recent injury maybe just the last 20/30 minutes off the bench. Otherwise I am ok with that team.

That could potentially be the worst backline the Stormers have ever fielded.

Very uninspiring. Went from such a promising pre-season team on paper to an injury ravaged c-squad.

Central Washington or Grand Canyon (Arizona) would be the best places to look out west. The traditional powers like Cal and St Mary's are difficult to get into.

Even Yankee has seen the light and taken down his skommel poster...

No need to say anymore....

There was a satarical piece just recently where Rassie made a few house calls , to assure the likes of Rhule and DDA that they need never , ever , bother about the Springboks again. It took awhile but it seems everyone has seen the light.

I am always right about the centres....I follow them . No need to admonish Yankee anymore....its like smacking a baby .

Good to see JJ back in the mix .... he will make a huge difference if he can get some ball....he is a big lad
