Wow that sux. He was a good player with the potential to push for higher honours. Way way too young to have to give up the game :((

Damn. I enjoyed watching him play and thought he might have gone on to higher honours. Good luck to the bloke.

Very sad.

He would have easily been an AB, for my money. We're not overflowing with quality loosehead props right now, and he was one of the best and still very young.

You know it's serious when you retire at 26 without chasing overseas contracts first.

Not entirely surprising, but shit news all the same for the player especially, but also for Wellington, the Canes and fans in general.

All the best Reggie, you shall rise again.

Crap news as a fan. But good news in the sense not so long ago he’d have kept playing with who knows what repercussions.

Our South African poaching strategy is clearly not up to the standards of our PI strategy. Goodes looked like he was going to make it and now this. So basically all we've managed is Rawlinson and no one wanted him, probably not even the coaches.

Why did we get the useless chicken runners. Poor form NZR.

Obviously sad for Reg and the Canes but player welfare in the long term must be paramount...

Wes Goosen and Ricky Riccitelli are still trucking.

I'm not sure those two have the goods TBH.

Riccitelli doesn't sound like a chicken runner :?

Good player but there will have to be half a dozen injuries before he will receive a cap...

Damn shame. A fine player.

I fear Kane Hames' news appearing next...
