Cape Town - Dai Young, the director of rugby at English club Wasps, has called on Rassie Erasmus to pick forgotten Springboks Willie le Roux and Juan de Jongh.

Le Roux and De Jongh have impressed in the Aviva Premiership this season and the English club's mentor said he had already spoken to the Springbok coach about the duo's prowess.

"I met with Rassie about both of them and put my point across. I wouldn't be surprised if they feature in the summer (June Tests) for South Africa," Young told the KweseESPN website.

Le Roux has been so impressive for Wasps that Young said he didn't think the player could "do any more".

"Willie has been excellent all season for us and is commanding in the air. He spots great angles and hits space by scanning what is in front of him for opportunities and is playing well enough to put his hand up for a recall."

Young added that De Jongh has been "excellent" and his defence is "outstanding".

"(Juan) does all the small things really well."

Le Roux, who can play fullback and wing, played the last of his 41 Tests in the shock 20-18 loss to Italy in 2016, while midfielder De Jongh played the last of his 19 Tests in the crushing 57-15 defeat to the All Blacks in Durban that same year.

SA Rugby has a ruling which states that only overseas-based Springboks with 30 or more Test caps can be picked for the national team outside a Rugby World Cup year.

It was however recently revealed the ruling would not be cast in stone for Erasmus, which means De Jongh could come into the picture this year.

“Rassie spoke to us about it,” Mark Alexander, the president of SA Rugby, said recently.

“The rule remains, but we will consider every request by Rassie on its merits. The Boks are SARU’s flagship and we will do everything we can to give them the necessary support.”

The Springboks start their 2018 season with a Test against Wales in Washington DC on June 2, followed by a three-Test home series against England.

England’s first Test against the Springboks is scheduled for June 9 at Ellis Park in Johannesburg, with Tests in Bloemfontein (Free State Stadium, June 16) and Cape Town (Newlands, June 23) to follow.
Willie le Roux has never really impressed me. His hop-skip-jump sidestep rarely works. Give me Galant any day.
Agreed. jdJ should also not be part of this conversation

According to the stats, apart from the points, the Sharks should have won.
Not interested in anything else except my boy AE.
Burger certainly did not dominate him. In fact AE performed fantastically in a beaten side and statistically beat his man again. In my mind the fact that Burger got it for the first time had more to do with the team effort than his effort.

Please know that I'm approaching this from a position of genuine concern - I'm not typing this to mock you in any way. Plus I'm high as fuk so make of it what you will.

There is no good to come from this Reiki business. There are no energy fields around your body that some people can magically sense and manipulate. There's never been a scientific study that concluded that Reiki actually works... And there has been studies but they all say the same thing - that its fake.

Now its a reiki session here and there... Before you know it, you're burning sage to cleanse your house during the full moon. And don't get me started on those fukking rocks, so sorry I meant to say crystals. Before you know it you have magical crystals in your house to ward off evil spirits and to align your chakras and you find yourself going to "colour festivals" to meet like minded people.

If you want to find inner peace please read a book on Buddhism or meditate (there's fuking apps for your phone to help if you dont know how) but for fux sake try and be sensible here.

I hope this helps

Thanks for the advice. I am going to support my wife through this phase. She has advanced to her first level . I love her Reiki room. It's so friggin relaxing. The kind of space I can have a joint and go lie down in with Depeche Modes My secret garden on surround and just chill. I still need to sound proof the door as I can still hear the kids murdering each other but am looking for a way to do it tastefully.

But yeah...buddism will get it's turn.

It also helps that I ignore negative energy on fb.

Get yourself a target pistol - Ruger makes good ones. Nothing like shooting into one spot repeatedly to focus and ease the mind ...

I have two gas pistols and a sub machine gun.
But they don't penetrate. Merely bruise people.
Every now and again we take them out and have a practice.
It is nice

Quite...but you might find that most of our 12s ( give credit where it is due ) have rediscovered this lost art. I am sure in your time it was still bash bash rugby .
Odendaal needs to work on his offloads however...but its unfair to compare that with the number 1 performer this year.

de Allende statistically is number 1 ( besides offloading of course ). His biggest problem is that he gets rolled over instead of offlaoding. But if it were me choosing the boks I would have De Allende and AE on this years form.

Thats the thing about me...I do give credit where due and think about the game logically instead of with my penis.
Thats why when it comes to centres no saffer on the board matches my input...and that is over years.

De Allende does not strike me as being very intelligent. I may stand to be corrected. So that is my only doubt about his performance. You need to be able to switch things up and read the play. That is where he was badly exposed against the Kiwis....but to be fair so were most of his teammmates.

I still think he is our go to guy this year and with AE not in contention I would like to see how Serfontein is performing. I havent followed him abroad at all.
