Very different Sunwolves team from last year. Not very Japanese sounding.

Some interesting picks for the Brumbies, Benny A back to his preferred side of the scrum after 5 years due to Sio being out. Richie over Rory Arnold is a bit of a suprise.

Strong Ball carrying back row.

Backs as predicted.

Yeah, would have thought with the RWC around the corner that they would have gone the other way. But most of those guys are prob Japanese qualified anyway?

Ah Rob, right. Didn't realise he was fijian background. Born and raised in Melbourne though right?

And hes an absolute beast. The thought of him, Isa and Hooper making up our Wallabies backrow for the next ten years gets me beyond a semi.

He wasn’t even a SR level full back and that is his natural position. Lealifano could be in for a big day

Overegging it a bit now, he certainly was a SR quality fullback. Was excellent for the Chiefs, he won them a Super Rugby final against the Brumbies. Mind you injuries ruined him. I'd imagine he'll be okay at 10.

He had occasional flashes of good form but never seemed to sustain that form for long, due to injury on many occasions as you say. If he was getting injured at fb, he is likely to struggle far more at 10.

I saw him at 15 for the U20s and was really impressed, so I was a bit sad he never really kicked on the way I thought he would.

Confidence issues and injuries. All the natural talent in the world but not prepared to back himself. He's Damian MacKenzie's first cousin (aswell as Martie's) same sort of criticism leveled at the McKenzie's Robbie received. An in form Robinson was an excellent option either off the bench or starting. Reckon he was definitely up to it at SR level.

(Do you remember that u20 try saving tackle he made against Japan, was one of the best things I've seen in rugby!)

Cusack is nearly as good ball in hand as Hooper (falls down in other ways though). Rob and Isi can pound in close, Cusack run free out wide. It's an exciting backrow.

I thought he was outstanding in the U20s, as I said.

Yes, with some big foreigners especially in the forwards

Wimpie and Britz? Those names don't worry me for some reason.

I did not say it is a strong team, merely that it is stronger than last year. 8)

Perfect rugby weather tomorrow: 14C, sunny, crisp, little to no wind. There are no excuses.

I've got to figure out how to stream it to my phone, as I'll be on the eurostar!

I'm glad we get the Tokyo trip out of the way early. Definetly a late season banana peel.

I'll be posting links to the match from my friend, closer to game time. Hopefully one of them will work on your phone.

Brumbies are trying to play a fast paced game but have already knocked the ball on 4-5 times in contact.

Sunwolves leading 7 - 3 with a driving maul from a lineout that ended up with about 13 players in it.

Sunwolves score their second try after sustained pressure. Lafaele gets the try after a lovely delayed pass by Haydon Parker (on for Robinson).

Brumbies with some good interpassing down the right touchline and the No8 is in for the try -- just checking for Speight's feet going into touch
EDIT: TMO spots a knock-on by Speight

Try not given

Game of the week? Yeah, right...loving the howling wolves, not loving the extravagant try celebrations from Saumaki...
