Other sides deal with their strength at the breakdown far more effectively than we do, which then exposes their lack of heavy carriers for front foot ball to attack off. A case of styles and strengths. Scotland are extremely well placed to beat us regularly I feel (not every time as such, but no shock that it happens), they can destroy our attacking ball, giving themselves field position and good attacking ball.pigsy wrote:Scotland played smarter rugby and thoroughly deserved their win. Hopefully this is not a one off and they can consistently challenge for the 6N for the next few seasons at least.
None of that we need you lads to beat them and we need to follow this up with a win in Dublin...clementinfrance wrote:Yeah congrats Scotland....
Thank-you very much.
You've ensured that France gets the hammering of a lifetime by a wounded England team looking to make a statement before the showdown against Ireland on the final W/E.
Which is the same as every other team in contention, Ireland had a miracle drop goal to sneak the win in Paris and that’s it. England have a huge ask in 2 weeks to make sure it’s not 2 defeats on he bounceClive wrote:Scotland's problem is away from home, get that right and they will become a very good team.
Ireland will be very tough.
Scots though don't even get close away, they were murdered by Eng last year and Wales this year, but in time maybe that will come.Lorthern Nights wrote:Which is the same as every other team in contention, Ireland had a miracle drop goal to sneak the win in Paris and that’s it. And yet ran France close and won in Australia, you know Australia that you can’t buy a win against even at home.Clive wrote:Scots though don't even get close away, they were murdered by Eng last year and Wales this year, but in time maybe that will come.Lorthern Nights wrote:Which is the same as every other team in contention, Ireland had a miracle drop goal to sneak the win in Paris and that’s it. Whilst I'd be delighted for your scenario to play out, I doubt England will allow it...Lorthern Nights wrote:None of that we need you lads to beat them and we need to follow this up with a win in Dublin...clementinfrance wrote:Yeah congrats Scotland....

No match for the faux-wisdom and edginess of your aphorisms, certainly.Kiwias wrote:That is way better than your normal pseudo-intellectual long-winded garbage posts you are known for.Dork Lard wrote:The internet.Kiwias wrote:Is there somewhere I can watch the whole match? Damned right! Scotland were excellent - good for you and good for rugby.happyhooker wrote:Well fûcking get back on it, you deserve it.OptimisticJock wrote:Commiserations lads. I think I'm just about sober now
Unless we're away to Aus and then we're fine.Clive wrote:Scots though don't even get close away, they were murdered by Eng last year and Wales this year, but in time maybe that will come.Lorthern Nights wrote:Which is the same as every other team in contention, Ireland had a miracle drop goal to sneak the win in Paris and that’s it. You had an off day. Could be worse - we had an off day at Twickenham last year and went down by 40!globus wrote:Having watched bits of the match again, I wondering if slitting my wrists or attaching a hosepipe to the car exhaust is the best way to go.
Again, all praise to the Scots but we were absolutely terrible.
