That's disgraceful. I'm slightly surprised the mother didn't take her daughter to the hospital quicker but she should never have been turned away.

But Dr Joanne Rowe (54) refused to see the youngster sending her home, without checking on her medical records, because she was late.

Quite. It's an outrage and the doctor should be struck off, and probably prosecuted, but with pre-existing medical issues she should have got her to A&E or preferably called an ambulance.

It wouldn't have happened to me because I never run on time! So I can't justifiably send late arrivals away when I haven't yet reached that point in the appointment list anyway. Something fish about docs that always run on time as well...A straw poll among colleagues - most would have seen the kid whatever.
