Does anyone think any of their Lions tourists are playing better than last season? Are they even fit?

Maybe it helps in the long run but not the following season

Jamie George - definitely quieter this season
Dan Cole - much of a muchness
Joe Marler - injuries and bans
Sickler - injuries and bans
Mako Vunipola - definitely quieter this season
Maro Itoji - definitely quieter this season
George Kruis - definitely quieter this season
Courtney Lawes - Been OK, playing out of position
James Haskell - injuries and bans
Ben Youngs - long term injury
Owen Farrell - maybe the only player that looks as good as/better since touring
Jonathan Joseph - definitely quieter this season
Elliot Daly - injured for ages
Jack Nowell - injured for ages and injured again
Anthony Watson - probably the same ish

Bwahahahahahahahahaha!

We've had it the worse (we always have it worst!).

Ken Owens - Been a shadow of the player that saw him force his way onto the Lions
Alun Wyn Jones - Mr Reliable, but definitely been better.
Taulupe Faletau - Injured most of the season
Ross Moriarty - Injured most of the season
Justin Tipuric - Not as good as last year
Sam Warburton - Injured most of the season
Rhys Webb - Injured, but has been part of a poor Ospreys setup
Dan Biggar - Poor
Jonathan Davies - Injured most of the season
George North - Had a poor Lions, and has only shown glimpses that he's coming back
Leigh Halfpenny - Much of a muchness
Liam Williams - Injured, only just coming back

They're going to be wrecked is all. Especially the saracens contingent.

Lucky for England that Dylan and Mike were not affected by the Lions to carry us through.

Yeah but your geographic Lions are so much better for the tour.

Kruis was so bad on the lions I think he's playing better right now. And he's playing shite right now.

He was poor on tour. He’s definitely coming back. He’d had a number of very intensive Saracens and England seasons. These guys, however fit and conditioned, just cannot maintain that level for consecutive seasons. Anyone who has spoken to athletes who have competed at any sport at elite level knows that form oscillates. Greatness is smoothing the waves, not eliminating them.

The Player Management process has been a huge factor in the way most of the Irish players have kicked on this season. Stander was probably hardest hit, but he wasn’t fit going, and SOB’s issues seem to be chronic so he’d have had problems anyway, and while Henshaw came home injured he had regained his form before getting injured again. All the rest though have been in good to excellent form and condition.

Ignoring the injuries and bans, Marler has been excellent and his carrying in particular has been much improved. Sinckler doesn't seem to have kicked on at all.

Although he was a great carrier I was never convinced by Sincklers scrummaging, and he seemed to be a bit of a loose cannon in terms of discipline. Must admit I haven’t watched a lot of AP games this season so haven’t seen much of Marler.

Well neither of them have improved their discipline, that's for sure.

Cory Hill is knocking it out of the park though.

In all seriousness, it would be interesting to compare when players went back to playing for their clubs and how many games they've had this season.

Quick fag packet suggests that McGrath, Furlong, Henderson & POM have played 16 games. Stander 17.
Best & SOB have had injuries since returning - Best in pre-season traing (after his rest period) and SOB is always injured. Except when he's fit.

So, basically, Irish forwards had played a dozen games between the Lions Tour and the Six Nations.
