Do you quote movies randomly?

Just saw a twitter thread on this via one of the Turner Classic Movies hosts. Do you find yourself randomly spouting a certain favourite line from a film every now and then? (Or all the time?)

I can have a wide assortment of them pop up for no good reason ... but if I were to think of a common one, it's not something iconic:

When someone walks into a room (or I do), I sometimes go: "Well, well, well, well... " like Clint Eastwood in Heartbreak Ridge when he first meets his platoon and spots the guy who robbed him earlier.

I always roll out "This is my other Dog impression" after the most famous line

All the time.

Whenever I ask my brother for a lift, or vice versa we always say "I don't care what you're doing, come and get me!" which is what a fat biker says in The Terminator before Arnie throws him out of the phone box.

Or when I used to smoke, if I was saying I needed to buy something and some cigarettes, I'd always pause before "...and cigarettes" cause Bruce Willis does that in Die Hard.

There's a bunch of other examples, I can't think of but I'd say I do that shit every day.

Meeting someone called Moriarty, it's difficult not to call them "More-ee-air-ih-tee".

Speaking of dogs, my brother and I used to always hit each other with Charlie the Dog's line to Porky Pig. "... den shaddup!!!"

Always.

I was at lunch with two mates and saw some lady drop some rubbish. My mate said "I hate littering" and we all replied "littering and....littering and....littering and....littering and...smoking the reefer"

My standard response to "How are you?", etc. is "Thrilled to be alive...", delivered deadpan...it's a partial quote from Big Trouble In Little China...it seems to amuse people...

A good mate is a shocker for calling out if you’re getting a beer, some food, bloody anything... “Hey Utah, make it two”, complete with hand signal.

I quote the Simpsons on a daily basis.

I have a friend who I communicate with almost exclusively in Predator quotes but I wouldn't be at that with the general population because they'd think I'm a weirdo.

Christ. A deft quote of a movie is a fine thing, but when some twat keeps on doing it over and over, makes me want to eat their liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti. There's a bloke who is a friend of a friend sort of acquaintance that is still peppering every damn conversation with Austin Powers and Borat quotes. The same ones. Over and f**king over. Twat.

Yes! all. the. time.

Most of the time people have no idea what you're talking about, especially Mrs Toro but she'd from Brasil so understandable.

I find it hard to move any furniture without using the 'pivot!' call from friends.

Otherwise I quote The Three Amigos a lot...what's tequila? oh it's like beer....

So I married an axe murderer, and a lot of Mike Myers

A lot of Jim Carrey movies, Tomy Boy gets a good working over.

Happy Gilmore..

I could go on for a while...

The gent in question is a fine wit of his own. He pulls it off. It’s always used at an appropriate situation, but basically just takes the piss out of the shambles that is Gary Busey.

Movies now and again, but a lot of comedies that I like (Partridge, Peep Show, The office) get used continuously.

The Four Yorkshiremen - LUXURY!! Cardboard box?!?

(*I know it is not originally a Python Sketch)

..and Holy Grail - a mate and I took to using 'watery bint' as an insult (much to our amusement and nobody elses).

Also - that rabbit is dynamite for anything that took us by surprise.

films not especially, but Shaun of the Dead's:

"let's go to the pub, have a quiet pint and wait for all this to blow over"

also, with similar intent, I use Scott of the Antarctic's:

"I may be gone some time"

I used that when leaving a tent to take a morning shit whilst camping a few years ago, which made me wonder if the original user was also just popping out to drop a stubborn shit rather than nobly sacrificing himself.

(Oates)...btw.

Myself and my friends can converse almost entirely in quotes from the Simpson's seasons 2 to 10.

I was muttering "I am the calm little centre of the world, I am the Zen Master" by the photocopier in the manner of Tyler Durden in the office the other day. Thankfully my colleagues are cultural ignoramuses, so they didn't think anything was amiss.

There was a guy I was pally with in my old gym called Dylan. Was always perfect for "Dylan, you son of a bitch!" and a bicep-heavy handshake whenever I met him.
