It wasn't Pooper, it was Pocock. And our lineout was shit.

If we had a good 6 and an 8 I'd start with Pocock at 7 and Hooper on the bench.

Anyone who thinks you can get away with only 2 lineout targets (and no, Hooper is a novelty turn only), has rocks in their head.

It's notable that we only competed on the Irish lineout after Tui came on.

The Irish did nothing to exploit this advantage on the weekend. They won't make the same mistake twice, and the ABs never will.

With Tui, Hanigan back in the frame, and McMahon on his way home, I reckon we'll see Samu dropped, like, for ever. Which is sad for him, after all the fuss.

9 and 10 awful. Many of the players very young and still learning to gel as a team. There is very little depth among the reserves. Some Wallabies like Higgers just aren’t that good.

This year is however reminding me of Mooeny’s last year - not great results, but a lot of promise.

Hopefully the Irish are feeling even more pain; Genia easily outperformed Murray due to Murray getting belted IMO.

Yes, Murray got smashed a few times. The hits from Koroibete and Beale were masterful!
A few of them looked gun shy after the first 20. As the replacements came on they did the same. Even Simmons! I was impressed.

Yep. I was going to mention that too. He had a blinder.

Could be the same XXIII this week; however I wouldn't be surprised if the only changes we see this week are to the front row.

Perhaps they'll throw Tui in at 6 to provide more line out options. I really liked the look of Samu when he came on. Hopefully he can get more minutes this week; especially as the Irish pack are going to have blinkers on Pocock. Having said that, we have a plethora of not-tall back-rowers so it's hard to have them all out there at once.

I personally wouldn't like to see it, however Cheika might throw caution to the wind and make bulk changes for this week. For the first time in memory, he's got a full-strength squad to choose from and plenty of players in form.

BPA to the bench and Latu to start, I reckon.

I dunno. Maybe they'll start Simmo because our lineout was shit.

Have you watched Arnold play this year? He’s probably been the form Aus lock in the Soup...

His all round game has been superb - he was the top Aussie lineout taker prior to suspension, he possesses a strong ball running/offload game, kills mauls and has been smashing folks in tackles and rucks for fun...

Having said that, I would be wary of tinkering with the squad but could see him either swap with Rodda, or more likely Tui on the bench.

Australia has quality depth at 1,3,4 & 5. This is weird.... A few years ago we had Pek Cowan at LHP with Nathan Sharpe up his limited arse.
