There's a saying: there's no fool like an old fool, and I suspect it's quite apt in your case.

But I don't look my age, dress reasonably smartly and can engage in conversation nicely.

All I said was that I suspected that it was more your perception rather than any real admiration from the fair sex.

However, I honestly don't care, and am quite happy for you to continue to wallow in your illusion.

I consider it unlikely that it has any grounding in reality, but even if it does, the subject certainly holds no interest for me.

Had that stress test and not a lot showed up, they are going to do an angiogram next week.

It would be nice to hear someone say that he looks old for his age, and women find him less attractive now than when he was younger, and they didn't find him very attractive then, either. I would a respect a man like that, for his honesty, or modesty.

The more I read on this thread, the better I feel. I`ve lead a pretty full life, abusing my body in all manners of way over the years, but, I am pleased to see that after reading about you lot, apart from some natural wear and tear and a diagnosis of COPD (which is a bit debilitating) at 72 I seem to be very healthy compared to a lot of you.

I'm pleased for you. The number of things my Rugby career has thrown up are mounting.

Looks like I shall need a few vertebra fusing and a new right hip to go with the left one.

That's why I fork out a lot of money on Healthcare. I don't want to get in the NHS queue. I've a specialist appointment shortly and won't have to queue in the corridor for hours like my neighbour did.

That sadly stopped a few years back but I've kept the cover going.

Forgetfulness. This includes all sorts of things. I am instructed by The Management to go to Waitrose to buy certain items. I should have written out a list but thought I had it in my head.

Result? Another trip to Waitrose, which thankfully is just down the road.

Well I ran (walked a bit too) 100km's over the weekend and then polished a bottle of Brandy on Sunday evening so all is still good.
