There have been some great imports. Saints have had a few. I also rate Gopperth who has been great value.

I think Brits must be in with a shout as the best.

Of the high profile signings Chris Jack must be amongst the worst.

Going back a few years but Pat Lam was decent.

Not that he did too much here, but in terms of quality, Jean de Villiers

For LI, Mapasua. Played a huge role dragging us above our station for a few years.

The perfect 12 imo

Overall and for longevity, Evans probably wins this one.

As a unit the Saints front row of Tongaʻuiha Hartley and Mujati was also rather good, they at least deserve a mention

Brits is a top player. Really one that got away for SA.

Bruce Reihana must be up there.

Or Ayerza actually?

First thought was Evans.

Waters, Abbott and Betsen also were key members in Wasps' best years, especially on the defensive end of things.

At the other end, how did Shane Drahm get two England caps???

Ah, getting over enthusiastic reminiscing. In that case I'd put Ayerza up there for the pack

In the short, short period he came over, Jaco Van Der Westhuizen was wonderful to watch.

Brits is is one of my all-time favourite players. If you are coaching youngsters you point to him and say that is the attitude to have.

Anyone care to take a guess (without looking) at the SH import with the most AP appearances?

Nope, you’re quite wrong...

Spoiler: show
It’s Neal Hatley, followed by Neil de Koch

The classiest for me was Matt Burke on his retirement plan at falcons.

Speaking of Aussie full backs. Latham was pretty decent in a poor team.

Honourable mention to George Smith for short term impact. Embarrassingly, the best player in the league at the age of 45 or whatever it was.

Jimmy Cowan up there for worst.

Without looking, anyone want to guess the top three try scoring SH imports (top five if playing for England disqualifies them)? Clue: no-one has mentioned any of them yet.
