That's not good. Very similar incident happened to a Wests Tigers player about 6 or 7 years ago. He was about 22, never played again and has never regained use of his arm. He now competes as a disabled athlete.

I said that on the original thread, it didn’t look like concussion but a brachial plexus and couldn’t move. Absolute horror injury, gutted for him.

The poor bugger has been unlucky to the nth since the starter's whistle blew on his adult career.

Ah shit, that's terrible news. One of Saints few positives this season and a probable future captain. Can only wish him all the very best with his recovery and future.

At 28, feel for him. Solid player for Tahs/Wallabies.

That’s awful. I hope he doesn’t lose too much use of his arm.

Had a horrible feeling it might be something like this when there hadn't been any update since Sunday.

Awful end to a career, hope he doesn't lose too much use of his arm in the longer term

Absolutely gutted for Rob :(( Has been one of our better players this season and one of the rare commodities at FG: a leader. Wish him all the best in his retirement.

The contact looked fairly innocuous. Poor guy. That's rotten luck.

I injured my left arm to the extent I couldn’t move my fingers sideways at all, so couldn’t do up buttons or hold a fork - luckily I had an Op on my elbow to remove some bone and that released pressure on the damaged nerves and I regained 95% of the mobility back and about 80% of the strength back.
Occasionally now I will drop some coins or struggle with a button on a cuff , but basically I am not a spaz so was lucky.

Hope Horne gets better , decent player.

Unfortunate injury. Hopefully he can reflect with perspective on the fact he achieved more than 99.9% of adult men who lace their boots ever do. Good luck to him in his post playing days.
