So you don't have a first team to play games away with at all.

What I really can't understand is how you guys are unconquerable at home but you lower your performance so much when you board the plane.

Me neither. It's terrible. Which is also why possibly scraping into the playoffs does nothing other than assure another first round exit

Year Over for Joaquín Tuculet

http://www.americasrugbynews.com/2018/0 ... n-tuculet/
Americas Rugby News wrote: The year is over for Joaquín Tuculet. Argentina’s leading fullback suffered a rupture of the anterior ligament of his knee in Friday’s Super Rugby match against the Chiefs in Rotorua, New Zealand.

The sale of the injury means the stand-in Jaguares captain will not play any further part in the 2018 Super Rugby campaign. The timing means he will miss out on the June Internationals and Rugby Championship as well as the November Internationals.

He will require six months recovery, a length of time which effectively ends his year altogether. Los Pumas Head Coach Daniel Hourcade will now need to look at alternatives to play against Wales and Scotland in June.

Mario Ledesma will be charged with addressing the same problem for Los Jaguares. Tuculet has started all but one match at fullback under Ledesma this year. The one exception was against the Melbourne Rebels with Emiliano Boffelli playing fullback rather than wing on that occasion.

Boffelli has otherwise played left wing under Ledesma. He has been joined by Sebastián Cancelliere, Bautista Delguy, and Ramiro Moyano as the wing options. Juan Cruz Mallía debuted against the Chiefs and is an option for fullback.

Yet to play is Matías Moroni. In his absence Matías Orlando has played every minute of every match for Los Jaguares this year. The timing of Tuculet’s injury means that playing Boffelli at 13 in order to rest Orlando sufficiently for June will not happen.

There are, nonetheless, other options at fullback for both Los Jaguares and Los Pumas. Super Rugby rookie Bautista Delguy is naturally a fullback. Alternatively the English-based Santiago Cordero could be used in the position. Hourcade started him at fullback against England in November 2016.

For Tuculet attention is now to turn to RWC 2019. The Jaguares captaincy is now set to go to either Tomás Lezana or Nicolás Sánchez. They have are Ledesma’s next in line below Pablo Matera and Joaquin Tuculet.

Matera is also injured at present and will miss out on playing in the June Internationals. In his absence Tomás Lezana and Javier Ortega Desio have started under Ledesma. Toulon’s Facundo Isa is unlikely to feature in June due to injury.

Jags will be without fullback Joaquin Tuculet, who's out for 6 months after suffering a knee ligament injury vs Chiefs

Puma's Campus, with a defined squad (30 jaguares)

The Head Coach of Los Pumas, Daniel Hourcade, confirmed the team of 30 players that will participate in a day of analysis, which will take place this Friday, May 11, in the town of Pilar. The Pumas will meet at the Sheraton Hotel and will have a day without physical activity, but will participate in various technical talks with the coaching staff.

"We're not going to do field work at this rally. The objective is to work on the theoretical part of the game system and to carry out different group and individual meetings with the players."This will be the last concentration before we give an expanded squad and get together to train the last week of May," said coach of Tucumann.

Among the list of those called up are Juan Pablo Zeiss, Javier Díaz and Santiago Medrano, who will be at the senior national team training camp for the first time.

The Pumas are preparing to begin their activity this season, when they will welcome the Welsh (9 and 16 June in San Juan and Santa Fe) and Scottish (23 June in Chaco) teams.

Rather judge the Jaguares on their tour performances.
Judge the Bulls on their performance against the Jaguares.

After a tough match against the Sharks, and a long trip to Argentina, Jags have got to be favourites for this one. Fully expect them to batter the Bulls.

The Vodacom Bulls 39-33 win against the Cell C Sharks in Round 13 came at a cost as Lizo Gqoboka and Lood de Jager suffered long term injuries.

Gqoboka injured his toe and scans have revealed that he has torn a tendon that requires surgery. He is expected to be out for 4-6 months.

De Jager left the field with a suspected pectoral injury and his scans confirmed that he tore a muscle in his chest wall. He will be on the sidelines for four months.

The rest of the squad seemed to be in good nick with all the players taking part in training ahead of the team’s departure for Argentina to face the Jaguares this weekend.
Jags by 50 :frown:

Libbok at 10 is interesting. He was uber kak at 15 in the JRWC last year. But I heard he has potential. Odendaal seems to injure his ribs quite often.

Important returns for the Argentinean team

Moroni and Montero, the good news in Jaguares.
The center (Moroni) and the wing (Montero) trained with the Jaguares team in yesterday's practice at Club Atlético San Isidro. Both also make up the Argentina XV squad, which will play against Uruguay XV on Sunday.
