 I was going to offer Tchussie a tour of arsonised shops, gangster bars, poison-laced dog parks, but I guess he wouldn't take me up on it.

There's a quite excellent card game called Berghain, where each of the players is a bouncer at a club, trying to get the perfect crowd.

I would. It might be an interesting to report back to the bored on those things. We disagree on one issue but there is no animosity on my part and I would probably learn something.

Yeah, nah. That was tongue in cheek, I didn't mean for you to take it seriously. I'm long past meeting people off the internet. Just take a walk around your neighbourhood - or maybe venture a bit further south east (you're near Suedstern, or maybe Flughafen strasse, if I remember correctly). Keep your eyes open, and bring an interpreter, if you need it.

Dude, there's 10% fat yoghurt in every Turkish supermarket around here. Or, you could always make it yourself, as I do. 8)

Ah, I deleted that post because I was turning this thread into my blog.

I never buy German Irish butter. It breaks my heart to see it there.

Plus, it’s neither gentrified nor over-run with Chechen warlords.

Virtue signalling is a very useful word in our times. And virtue signalling is quite often used in a patronising, unnecessary attempt to protect people who don't want or need it, don't you think?

I was hardly trying to protect anyone. I was just having a go at Snapper about being a virtue-signalling dumbshit, because it was there. I wouldn't call it paternalistic, maybe oppoprtunistic, or if you want, given that I used a race issue to have a go at someone, maybe cynical.

That thing about commenting on virtue-signalling being itself a form of virtue-signalling is one of the dumbest things I've heard. It's just criticism, unless we're goign to reductio ad absurdum all criticism and all speech to expressions of superiority. Sorry dudes, I was just having a pop at someone I reckon is a bit of a plum. Like you're all doing now.

Of course I can. I'm just ridiculing a bunch of middle-aged schoolyard bullies trying to have a gotcha on someone else's coattails. Perhaps you should tell me again how I abused you on the basis of an illness because I corrected a spelling mistake and called you weird. That was a better line of attack, old mate.

You just don't like it as it paints you poorly.

I'm sure all the people you were signalling to were very impressed at how you called out the 'virtue signallers'
