The Korean guy was fairly flapping about on the deck, but that actually did look quite sore, for once.

Eh, I'm half watching on one of my PC screens, no sound. 29 fouls in this game alone?

Since typing that there have been a few tasty fouls from each team. This is great fun.

The slow-mo facial expression as they go down are just priceless, whether it's a genuine foul or not.

TBF, the Netherlands in the final in 2010 was a showcase of kicking talent.

Don't care. It's all about the history and the fans. Teams like Switzerland are so boring and there's nothing about them. You get me bro?

France, Brazil, Germany, Argentina haven't looked like world champions at all. This tournaments wide open.
The bigger teams prepared to be physically on top for the end of the comp while other teams are in top shape right now. I'm not surprised by the Iceland and Switzerland performances at all, they've shown their worth on the European scene quite a bit now. Similarly, Australia did an excellent job at signing a top coach who did them an awful lot of good. I'm more surprised by Mexico's performance.

Mertens first goal scorer. If I had known there was a guy called Mertens in there I would've chucked in an omen bet.

They've got the worst looking women in Europe. They're currently seeing Russian women every day. Suddenly winning the World Cup and returning home isn't such a life-affirming goal.

Shitting myself now.

Although rugby means more to me than football, the nerves always set in for tournament football.

Oh to over-achieve, and surprise people, for once.

Also Linekar makes me nervous.

His disappointed face is always the last thing you remember from a tournament.

Lolz, good thing there are no precious belgos here else they would get upset by that sort of comment.
My initial wankbank has zero entries for Belgium however so you may be right.

Nah we safe - since 1998 I have only failed to win the office sweepstake once on football world cups , was last cup when I had Honduras or someplace Latin and shite. This year, I have England so we are winning everything for sure !

Every country I've been to in Europe I have seen at least some stunners. Not so Belgium. In a week visiting 5 towns/cities I saw one woman I would have described as moderately hot. And I think she was foreign. Looked Skando.

My threshold for grading as 'hot' isn't exactly high either.

But, lets be honest, when you're eating Belgian waffles you don't actually care if every woman in the country looks like Susan Boyle.
