So my work place had a break-in last night

My workplace had a break-in. Apparently a safe was stolen and the thieves attempted to break into the computer labs, offices and data room.

Me: I just hope that means I can go home early today.

My coworkers: 'I feel so violated now and not safe here anymore.'

Sounds like an inside job. Some people will do anything to have a day off.

paid too! It is strange that they go in though. at night they would need a fob key to get into the building and work the elevator.

They don’t feel safe anymore?

A break in to a workplace during the day is a slightly confused visitor.

Happened at night time. I guess I should add that all my coworkers who are talking about not 'feeling safe' are females. The male coworkers just seem to want the day off.

Edit:

Would add, I would understand them if they were talking about a break-in at their homes.

I know it was during the night. I mean, their safety is only at jeopardy during the times they are there. Who gives a fudge if somebody gets in at night time? I doubt they’ll be waiting and hiding in a waste basket.

Would not thought there'd be much cash on hand where you work, unless you changed gigs.

I was surprised by that too. They did bust in two two computer labs and the data room but didn't steal any tech. A bit strange.
