There is one stadium bigger in sydney, and it's nearly double the size, and it's shit, and it's in a shit location and it sounds empty unless there are 60k people as it was designed for 110k
The Olympic stadium?

45K is a little too small for a city the size of Sydney.

That's brilliant.

I thought it was a stupid penalty due to him taking a sabbatical and not being up to speed on the new laws at the time, more fool me.

Sad that a once great rugby nation's supporters are reduced to cringey 5th rate trolling against Ireland. Yes dear readers, you read that correctly - Ireland.

It is not even funny. It is actually heartbreaking for rugby. Heartbreaking for the game. Even the Australian members of the forum must read each others posts and ask themselves "How f**king embarrassing is this?"

What’s ‘embarrassing’, is how hard you’re trying with this bait.

What’s that now, attempt no.4?

I’ll chuck you a sympathy nibble though, buddy.

I was fully sure that we would lose the first test and didn't place a bet. I won on Ireland on Saturday. We are marginal favourites this week but have yet to decide whether to place a bet. The team will decide it. I wouldn't be surprised if Joe goes fairly experimental.

I doubt it. He will want to win the series as much as Cheika.

There is zero pressure on JS, grandslam and winning game 2 leaves him in a very comfortable place. He can afford to experiment if he so wishes and there will be little/no negative reaction to a loss.

Had a quick look at green and gold forum and can't be bothered logging in but a few Oz guys were lamenting that Ireland's population was only 4.8 million.
Does anyone here post there and want to tell them that's only southern Ireland it's actually over 6 million

Better things to be doing with my time , like most others I’d imagine. Anyway, even with a population over 6 million we’re doing far better per head of population. Is that what they’re lamenting ?

I disagree. I think he desperately wants a series win to give the team the belief they can win the World Cup . He did his experimenting in the first test and he’ll go with what he knows and trusts for this

Don't think Joe will go crazy, he'll want to win it. I have my doubts we will though.

First game: Aus dominated collisions, won aerial battle, converted try scoring chances. Oz win

Second game: Ireland dominated collisions, won aerial battle, didn't convert all try scoring chances. Ire win.

Third test: Collision area will be very hotly contested. Both teams will vary their territorial game. Oz have better ability to finish but need to correct poor discipline. Ireland will have less front foot ball and fewer attacking chances to try to score from. If Oz indiscipline gives them a foothold, they have a chance. If not, I think Oz' better attack game wins out

Joe is not going to experiment like he did in the first test, FFS.

They'll be all-in to win the series. This opportunity is massive and not to be passed up.

Looking at Timu's attempt to "intercept" he was off balance and just flapped at the ball, he must have thought we were going to score.
Or maybe he is just thick.

Mog The Almighty wrote:
Duff Paddy wrote:Watching the highlights on Irish rugby Australia were played off the park. Earls has a try disallowed for grounding that was complete bollox. Australia pull down our maul before the given Earls try and no YC. Ireland do the same to Australia and it’s a PT with a YC. Two deliberate Australian knock ons and no YC. Australia were blessed that wasn’t a 20 point hammering they barely touched the ball in the second half until the game was well won.
The game plan was to suffocate The Wallabies of ball, which was aided by The Wallabies own discipline. And it worked congratulations. But scoring less tries with three times the possession and territory and coming a bee's dick off losing the game in the last five minutes ain't playing shit off the park. It's almost losing.

I just hope the Wallabies sort out their discipline and get something in the range of 40-50% possession this weekend.

If Earl's try was awarded it would have been the worst call of the series. He dropped it and was not in control, clear as f'n daylight.
Apologies if I disappear for a page or two here or there. Unlike most of you lot, I am actively employed and have more important things to do than hang out on a nerd forum pointing out your dribbling shit for the undeserved, self-congratulatory verbal diarrhea that it is.

I don't think so. If we win the series it will place a serious question over Irelands ability to perform in Japan next year. Some may see it as the beginning of the downturn a la EJs England, peaking in-between RWCs and all.

JS will very much want to win.
