Well there were only 7 against Wales. However we'll need Malema vs France, they are the team to beat.

They don't mind playing the odd over age giant the French. Don't think I played any team in France at age groups rugby where they were entirely honest.

Playing Agen U21's when we were U17 was a particular low....

Fairly close game in the end. 10 and the two hookers the pick for England. Barbeary especially is a bit of a tank for a 17 year old.

Wales good for the win.

Finally got to get a look at Carwyn, and he is definitely a big lad. More Billy V than Not-Toby, in that he's a heavy duty ball carrier. Liked the look of our 10, who reminded me of the New Barry John, who obviously reminds us all of the Old Barry John...a bit small, but quick on his feet, lovely pass, and likes taking the ball to the line (as evidenced by the gif).

Actually, yes. But I know the result.

Good to see France winning again. Three to four years quite a few of these boys will start playing for the national side.

Need some less Anglo Saxon competition up top. Boks are useless, have to fight their way back.

Yeah read a piece on Carwyn earlier in the year.
Let's hope he can yet some development time with the seniors.
We need some big ball carriers.

Didn't stand out too much.

Munga looked solid enough in the second row without really imposing himself. Cokanasiga didn't see too much of the ball, one nice offload and a fumble in their 22. Rossiter probably the pick. Again a mistake here and there, but was strong over the ball to win a turnover or two and found himself playing first receiver a fair bit.

Must admit I am surprised they are developing Cokanasiga as a 12. Saw some clips of him from about a year ago and he looked like a really balanced runner, with a great step and turn of pace. Looked home-made for the 13 shirt, or possibly 15. Will be interesting to see how he gets on. I guess the thinking may be that he is likely to add a lot of bulk like his brother and with a bit more of an all-round game, he could be a useful player in that role.

I think 12 probably looks about right for him.

Doesn't look as fast as Joe and a bit shorter. Good balance and step though, with a good offloading game. Potential to pack on a bit more bulk too, as you say. We'll see

To my knowledge, which us very limited at this age group, Babos (first player born after 2000 to play in the Pro14) and Knott are our standouts, with Tuipolotu, Costelow and Lewis on the bench.

8 Dragons, 8 Scarlets, 6 Exiles, 3 Blues, 1 Osprey, 1 Llandovery (Scarlets region, not sure why not aligned)

This Exiles program is bearing fruit.

Safe to say rugby rules the roost in Newport and Llanelli and not so much Swansea and Cardiff?

It varies from year to year to be fair. In the current Welsh proper squad of 43, Carmarthen and Swansea bring most players. Dragons are the best they have been in decades.

Ouch. France really stepping up their under age this year good to see. Wait till the dunderheads coaching Top 14 ruin them with headless chook mixed with bosh Rugby.

FYI they are all in top 14 and Pro D2 Clubs (so were the U 20).

There has been a good bit of change at that level

also a lot of the kids head for D2 on loans to get game time rather than sit on their hands. The espoir championship is a bit too tame.

Their development of their PoCs is something to admire. We can learn from them.

Good win for the SA Schools team. We usually play our best in the 3rd match. Great to see them playing at the oldest school in SA.
