It’s the one everybody has wanted for ages. Mcgregor will win easily if he keeps it standing up. Khabib will destroy him if it goes to ground. A good contrast of styles with obvious hype already from the bus incident.

There's no way McGregor can defend a takedown once Khabib's inside. So he needs to keep him at a distance throughout - Khabib does barrel in sometimes and leave himself open to be hit, so it'll be interesting for sure.

I hope McGregor gets destroyed. Break up the hype a bit.

I dunno mate. I'm a massive Khabib fan and will be cheering for him, but Khabib's last fight was ... "confidence sapping" ... even on the winning side, and Conor is no f-cking joke.

Khabib's stand-up defence was a disaster. I remember watching the fight thinking, "okay either he's totally cracked under pressure or the Russian Mafia are paying him to get knocked out". He managed to win in the end by going back to his old game plan but damn he was really rolling the dice and tempting fate standing up with Al Iaquinta when his stand-up is obviously just not on that level. The other worrying thing is that Iaquinta seemed to fairly easily stuff or dodge so many of Khabib's take-downs.

Conor is good at two things: striking and not getting taken down. Conor could eaaasssily catch Khabib coming in and that would be the end of the fight.

This is a very very dangerous fight for Khabib. But if he's on point, follows the game plan, avoids being caught coming in for a takedown and manages to get Conor to the ground (which has proven very difficult), then I think that Conor will be mauled to death.

It's an interesting fight and about fcking time too. Can't help but feel we don't really know how good McGregor's stand up is as he has pretty much dominated a division of guys smaller than him and been mostly out of action in his true division that overall is pretty weak. Would love to see Dan Hooker get a random shot at the winner of this fight.

Will McGregor be fighting for love again? He's been leaving his sports car outside some chicks house recently in Dublin and it's been doing the rounds on social media.

Tough one this, although I've been happy to see an Irish man doing well and spectacularly so, his attitude and subsequent activities have made me just think he's a plum. Then again people wanking over some guy just because he's from the Caucasus and they're sooo tough there. Probably prefer to see the Dagestani guy win as it might tamp the hype machine down a bit.
