I always thought the Leguizamon splash dive for LI where he drops the ball mid-air was worse than the Carling one.

Brilliant by Medard, but Burns will never live that down.

Oh boy
Hilarious schoolboy error but I feel that Dominici's missed try against Italy 10-15years ago was even worse as there was no one to pressure him contrary to there.

The Samoan forward pass in the ingoal in one of the 7s tournaments took the biscuit. Having to explain that to Gordon Tietjens :uhoh: .

On the other hand, that's possibly the best defensive play Medard has ever produced in his career

Why does this seem to generally happen to English and French players, and not Celts? Maybe there's some phycho-cultural arrogance thing going on deep down in Saes/Frog heads that makes them think they've won before they have?

This may have been worse because of the context.

The reason he was celebrating so happily was that this was his chance of redemption, having missed a sitter of a penalty right in front of the posts just a minute before.

Poitrenaud in the final against wasps was pretty bad

In term of consequences, yes but in term of rugby error, not even close to that or to Dominici's shocker.
I think btw that not enough credit was given to Rob Howley on that play.
And at least, you could understand why poitrenaud agonisely waited for the ball to go behind the tryline cause if he had taken the ball with no teammates near him or pushed the ball on touch, it would have certainly given the ball back to Wasps near Toulouse tryline with almost no more time left after to score again if wasps had scored.

A f**king shambolic 2min, and rightfully hooked. How the f*ck does anyone who wants to be taken seriously as a 10 miss that sitter of a kick? As for the showboating, he gets what he deserves on that front. Might be a while before we see him in a Bath shirt again...

Great player at times, still deserves an England squad place.
For sure.

ROG on Virgin was trying to be kind, describing it as unfortunate, but Shane Jennings was having none of it. You could see from him that if Burns was a teammate he’d have kicked the shit out of him on the spot. The gobshite had two goes at the showboating, with the kiss to the crowd followed by the nonchalant one handed touchdown. Unbelievable, even without the missed kick that preceded it.

Seriously, what goes through some of these players minds? Why risk f*cking up the unf*ck-upoable when you can show-off all you want afterwards?

That's the worst. Carling was aiming to run it in under the posts, he wasn't hugely showing off.

Worst two minutes of Freddie’s life i’d guess. Gotta feel for him as he’s a good player. Crowd noise did for him. If the game had been away he might have heard Medard coming up behind him.

Not even the best bath one in recent times. This kept Wasps in the premiership and probably saved them from going bust.

Smart by Medard as well to go for his arm rather than the ball itself.

But yeah still an awful howler from Burns.

Brilliant by Medard. Feel soory for Burns actually. Players showboat all the time and it could have happened to anybody. Fate just had to pick poor Freddie.
