About time the tests starts.

Springbokke needs to start with a bang.
S24
Quote:
We have to be clear on what we want to achieve in all those games. It is a very demanding competition. Australia will come here and show that they are on the right track for the Rugby World Cup by performing well against us in an away game on the Highveld," Erasmus said inside the digital publication.

"The All Blacks will be another massive challenge again in Wellington and the Pumas will be eager to repeat their success of last year over us when we meet again in Salta. Like all the teams at this stage, we also have a few plans, but the main aim is to win the competition.

"We still have to perform really well and make the home ground advantage count in the home match against the Wallabies, and then I'd say we have to be very competitive in our two away matches against the All Blacks and Pumas."

Really looking forward to this. Might not be a typical RC tournament, but hugely important to test combinations and build up some momentum.

Oom, please don't make any reference to the finely tuned gym bodies of the Australians and get yourself another yellow card.

True. Not that worried about victories, but getting the team to gel and play as a unit.

It depends on what Rassie's plans are. There's talk of a split squad with some players leaving early for NZ to acclimatise before the All Black game but it's not clear what type of split he's thinking about. An A and B team or 2 teams of equal strength?

Not playing his strongest team in all RC matches doesn't gel with his stated objective of getting the Boks to #1 by the end of the year. Another 50% win rate and maybe one win over the ABs will be another year of failure for the Boks

That is soooo last year

The squad has been together for almost a month already. No excuses for not gelling

I agree to a point, but our teams have never hit the ground running. The backline will drop balls a plenty.

In the past the squad only got together two weeks before the first test and the overseas based players only 5 days. This year even Frans will have at least two weeks with the squad (if he turns up) while most will have about 5 weeks

The time for these excuses is over. It is time for the Boks to show positive results.

Nah I always keep within the rules. Problem is I never read the small prints of the rules and thats where the Aussies are wise.

I expect a good performance from the Bokke.

Bokke by 50.

We should be careful of being arrogant. I agree that there's few things better than to beat Aus in sport, but like this year's SupeRugby, this year's Rugby Championship is only a warm up for the RWC.

That being said, we have an excellent record vs Aus in South Africa and should be able to beat them.

We had enough of that Bonanza nOOp on the cricket thread, smashing them keep him at home in Perthfontein with his Transvaal vier kleur flag.

One feels that these two teams will be battling for the wooden spoon this year.

At least you have the grace to stop living a deluded existence and admit SA is a failed state.

Also we may have been beaten but the war isn't over for us yet. Unlike you we live to fight another day. Something you obviously have trouble understanding.

Hope you enjoy yourself when officials from the ATM party come for you.

Sorry to ruin your erroneous assumptions but my family has been in Australia since 1795.

And not a drop of convict blood.

Not that it matters. We have done ok.

Envy of much of the world.

Many South Africans can only dream of such a place.

The ENVY runs deep.
