While England have won the Rule 1 battle (IMO), I think it'll be a lot closer on the pitch than people are predicting. Eddie would probably be ok with losing to everyone else this 6N as long as he beat Ireland. It's going to be a titanic battle of forwards smashing each other to pieces.

Can't wait

No. They're just playing Courteny Lawes at 10.

This will be a cracking start to the 6N.

My heart will always say "England" and my fervent wish is that we will be in there.

But good luck to both sides. I've always had a fondness for Ireland having been wedded to an Irish lass from Gortin in Co Tyrone.

I'll be there! Or at least I would be if my useless f**king English mates who I am going to meet up with had taken me seriously when I told them how difficult it is to get tickets. 10 of us, 2 tickets and me at the bottom of the list. Dicks.

I'd be more along the line of 6-9 to the Brits.

I have got in my traditional Guinness. I have myself, a Welshman, a Scot and an Irishman to watch the match.

Ze French down the road have no idea about Rugby. But there is hope.

She is utterly lovely. No Rule 1 sadly.

Had a dream last night that it was very wet conditions like 2013 and England battered us. They got too far ahead of us and their defense didn't let us back into the match even with all of our possession.

Nervous now.

I'm anticipating Eddie Buttler weaving Brexit into his montage monolgue.

While I commend the rule 1 innovation here, I will now be avoiding any Wales-related match threads ...

It's on ITV. Not sure who does their montages. Ant and Dec, possibly.

Naah, as per usual the broadcasting teams will be reaching for their tried and tested rugby cliches:

‘The first 20 minutes will be crucial’

"He does the simple things so well"

"Going through the phases"

“They’ve come to play”

“They wanted it more”

“It depends on which France side shows up”

“There are no easy games”
