Good win for Mary's. They were looking a bit dodge with twenty minutes gone but got back into it. Scrum was a thing of beauty. Hinch well able to play ball. Thought Rhys O'Donnell was very good.

Sligo had an excellent bp win over Dungannon despite having to put out a seriously weakened side, so very happy with that. Ballina are absolutely flying in 2c, with Tullamore and Malahide looking in big trouble already.

Barnhall scored 8 tries but somehow contrived to miss 6 kicks... went down to 13 men for a few min and Skerries scored 21.

Great game - tackling optional. Rainey having lost both games is surprising. Navan going so well in 2A is a bit too.

We have you lads next week Lenny - you will hardly be down?

No, won’t be travelling. Was very involved a few years ago but not so much anymore. There should be a few travelling as a big crowd went down to Cork to the Well game last week, but this year is about survival for us tbh so not too optimistic about our away form.

Astonished with your results to be honest.

Dirty trip and they are in good form. We played them in a pre season. Gigantic pack

They gave us a bit of a beating in the Connacht Senior League down there in August, and are very confident that if they can avoid injuries that they'll be real contenders for promotion. They do have an enormous pack, but they have a few tidy backs as well, which is why they've racked up a couple of decent scores.

The 13 they have is very tidy - we did a number on them in the backs to be honest in that game but the pack is well able to play at a level above. 7 is solid out.

saw you guys played Lansdowne at the weekend, 21-5. Game closer than scoreline suggests? any players impress?

in other news apparently Ethan Baxter was the best player on the field for Belvo 20's against UCD, playing 7.

Much closer - we didnt show up to be honest. Our pack had the better of theirs but we are missing our two 10s... so hindered us and were way to easy to contain. Late try put gloss on it - but was 7-5 at the half and being honest we never really threatened them in 2nd half. Our 2nd row Dan Murphy who is playing 1s too was best forward on show. Losing our loosehead Sean Goodburn was a killer, lost scrum dominance.

They were full value for win. They are much weaker than last year, where they had Tom Roche, William Fay, James Kenny, Tim Murphy and we beat them twice.

Their 10-12 was Madigan (Blackrock 15) and Tom Monaghan (best player on pitch)

Their 2nd row was a lad from Ashbourne -Sparza... an absolute brute. Sean Galvin on wing, and other Gonzaga lads but can't see them being in business end. We are at same level to be honest.

Up against it this weekend v Clontarf - want improved performance.

Heard that on Belvo. He is a proper player is Baxter. Heard Blackrock are not up to much at all... Trinity rested load of lads and won pulling up.

Heard Trinity team is already picked for next week - wholesale changes.

Clontarf just picked and jammed and ground Terenure into the ground

Shields was on the bench. Along with U20's Hugo Conway(Outside Back) and Cormac Foley(Scrumhalf). Foley came on and scored a try.

Was down at Sligo game today Lenny... Tough physical game in the shitty non stop rain

Sligo pack is very abrasive... and whilst 12 gets all the focus your 13 is a lovely player. 2/3 breaks

Think we prob had just a bit too much experience and class.

We lost our 12 and 7 early doors too and missed more kicks...which is a mega worry.

Mullet...what is going on with you lads....

Tbh we did better than I thought we would, and a losing bp would have been a great result for us. The 13 is really a 9, and a superb one, although he’s just been released by the Connacht academy. Mid table I think/hope will be our lot, which wouldn’t be too bad.

The 9 you had was young, nippy but few bad decisions.

For some mad reason you took your 1 off... the Irish 20s lad and we just dominated set piece then. Hope you lads can hang onto him

13 lovely player.. you lads be fine. Will rattle every one in Sligo and as weather gets worse suits you better.

The loosehead, Kuba, has also been released by Connacht. Yeah I think I’d prefer to see Ryan Feehily, the 13, at 9 where he dominates games. He was in the frame for the Irish 20s last year, as a 9, but didn’t make it. I’m more optimistic now about us surviving, even though we’ve only got 6 points from our first three games.

Big match next Sunday B'man, and I mean a biiiiiiig match.
Local derby - Westmanstown v Barnhall up on that cabbage patch of yours by HP.
There's going to be a serious score to settle. :x

Granted, it's an U7 minis game but hey...

6 years ago I got involved in Barnhall, knowing this day would come....

Finally... it ends..... two men enter only one man leaves.
