If you asked 100 Welsh rugby fans who is your preferred backrow 3 for Wales right now, you'd probably get 100 different answers.cubby boi wrote:At the moment, I’d have Cubby and Navidi nailed on at 7 and 6. Work on Shinglers lock play and have him cover lock and 6 from the bench. Moriarty and Faletau fighting it out for 8, with the form player at the time taking it - currently Moriarty by a long way. Tips on bench also.
Warburton has a lot to do to break his way back in, or should do after the recent exceptional performances of Cubby, Navidi, Shingler, Moriarty and Jenkins.
Just need that at centre and locks. However it's looking a lot better depth wiseLandOTurk wrote:If you asked 100 Welsh rugby fans who is your preferred backrow 3 for Wales right now, you'd probably get 100 different answers.cubby boi wrote:At the moment, I’d have Cubby and Navidi nailed on at 7 and 6. For FH you probably would have 4.
For back 3 probably 5-6 options.
It's great!

It’s only great if Gatland selects on form and not previous stature, otherwise the depth counts for nothing.LandOTurk wrote:If you asked 100 Welsh rugby fans who is your preferred backrow 3 for Wales right now, you'd probably get 100 different answers.cubby boi wrote:At the moment, I’d have Cubby and Navidi nailed on at 7 and 6. Well, I know what you mean, but it rather helps in the event of catastrophic injury lists too.cubby boi wrote:It’s only great if Gatland selects on form and not previous stature, otherwise the depth counts for nothing.LandOTurk wrote:If you asked 100 Welsh rugby fans who is your preferred backrow 3 for Wales right now, you'd probably get 100 different answers.cubby boi wrote:At the moment, I’d have Cubby and Navidi nailed on at 7 and 6. It's all a trick this mobile, faster game - come the world cup we'll play Jarvis, Lydiate, Day, Roberts at 12, Scott Williams at 13, and tell Biggar to kick the leather off it for Prydie, Cuthbert and anyone else at 6'4 or over that we can find for the back 3 to chase.GWO2 wrote:Frodder wrote:Well the days of King, Lydiate, Cuthers, Jarvis and Dom Day seem to be at an end

If Parkes is still at 12 we might as well not bother. He’s a square peg in a square hole and that really is it. We need one of Williams or Watkin to emerge from the traps like Seabiscuit on some Russian grade PEDs.Frodder wrote:Our starting XV (all injury free) for the RWC that I think Gats will select

However it seems almost certain he wishes to leave.Jeff the Bear wrote:More than anyone else (probably even Gatland), any success we've had in recent times has been down to Edwards and his defence. I don't think it can be overstated how important he has been to us.
Indeed. Such a shame, but he has been in the same job for over a decade now, but you'd hope he'd see it through to the next world cup. I reckon any chances we had take a mortal blow if he leaves.LandOTurk wrote:However it seems almost certain he wishes to leave.Jeff the Bear wrote:More than anyone else (probably even Gatland), any success we've had in recent times has been down to Edwards and his defence. Always encourage top coaches to go to lesser known rugby nations and develop their game.
Rugby needs to grow or die. First step is introducing promotion/relegation to the 6 nations. Make the tier 2 competition actually mean something.

Yep. He was with his family at the Toulon (or La Rochelle) game being shown around. Apparently some people thought it was a kiwi super rugby guy. LOL. He has been on our books for a number of years. As you say Jeff. I hope he is not sh1t.Jeff the Bear wrote:He's coming home, he's coming home, he's coming....Carwyn's coming home!

#1 - have promotion/relagation - the financial bedrock of the the 3 Celtic nations' pro rugby, quite possibly all 6
Which was of you put that on?Yet another Jolly for a distinctly average coach with a big personality
