Interesting that Manfred Weber is spoken of as a big loser tonight. He had a terrible election in Germany and may have lost his shot at replacing Juncker. With Macron also weakened they are talking about Barnier as a viable candidate for president of the commission.

The Brits would love that!

With my green glasses on, that would be great for Ireland.

That's even worse than Juncker for the Brits.

I still don't understand and am not convinced msm does. The focus seems to be who will replace May which should not matter if you are for a Eurogoligarchy.

He's out for himself. When the Brexit vote came though, he wasn't given a lordship like he wanted, got stroppy and realsied UKIP is full of racists seeing as the non-racist Brexiteers return to Tories or Labour. The withdrawal deal bollocks gave him a platform to demand unicorns again and thus no deal ever made could be good enough and he knows neither side would go with a hard deal, so everyone is a traitor. He also claims everyone involved who is not him won't ever be good enough but he knows he'll never be involved in the discussions. SO he's just an attack engine, he's even claiming the most famous Tory Brexiter Boris Johnson isn't to be trusted. He's basically here to make more fame for himself and money out of utter BS. The c#nt!

So looks like the coalition of EPP and S&D could be gone.

EPP & ALDE & Greens could be next grand coalition.

Anything that supports Guy Verhofstadt's vaulting ambition is bad news. He symbolises everything that is wrong with the current "project" - arrogance, constant demands for increased transfer of power to Brussels, over-riding of national vetos.......

looks like Naomi Long will take the 3rd seat in NI with Martina Anderson topping the poll for the Shinners and dodds (the MRs) taking the 2nd seat for the DUP

So basically you want Ireland to continue using tax rules to help multinationals avoid tax indefinitely. Surely you see that this approach isn't sustainable

I've heard 1 and 2 are Dodds then Anderson
But Long taking the third seat for the Alliance is great

That's another for the ALDE party with Naomi getting a seat.

So long as those tax rules are there - yes.

When the OECD agrees new rules then we'll abide by them. In the meantime it's not up to the EU to decide our tax policy.

Why is the approach not sustainable? It works for our economy & it has the added advantage of pissing off lefties.

57% non Unionist, pro Remain vote.

The DUP will have some explaining to do in GB.

57% of the electorate voted for non-Unionist (in the UK sense) parties.

That same 57% are also pro-remain (in the EU sense).

Yes but how different is that to last EU election and why would the cnuts have to explain anything to GB?

Last euro election, and every single one before that, sent back 2 Unionist and one nationalist MEP.

To your second question it should allow your journos ask some awkward questions.
