rieko did something similar yesterday... can Polynesian players please stop trying to do the Fijian touchdowns...u won't be able to do it right..

I had a coach who would make you do many extra laps in training if you ever lost the ball over the line. Even just dotting down would draw his wrath. He said that many tries were lost because of poor finishing. We practised that bit exactly. Going over the line with the ball held in two hands with your body on top.

I thought it made a lot of sense. He'd be spewing at the efforts of some of todays professional players.

A kid in my son's U12 team has fluffed 3 tries this season purely from dropping the ball as he tried to put it down. Two of them were after 80m solo effort tries too.

He was told to spend 10 minutes at training practicing diving over the line with the ball in two hands.

if thats the kunatani one, its one of the only i know of in recent years

Nacuqu did a perfect one against US yesterday, the try was ruled out cause his feet was in touch but the touchdown was good

I remember some fijian sevens players f**king it up in comical fashion, its just stupid and no one should do it, must drive coaches mad, it drives me mad as a supporter, and it did worse when I was playing and it was teammates botching tries, trying to gloat and make fun of the opposition while scoring. Score first then fucken gloat.

its still a fuckup, and its one of the few times im glad if fiji loses and they are not playing samoa, its when then start to get arrogant and fudge up a try like that.

That tackle is a thing of beauty, i hope that botched try cost them the match.
