Lions will have to play out of their skins....

Stormers emptying their coffers to get close will be determined to win this one...without paying the ref too much.

They don't have to pay. It's an all WP ref team with a Sharks tmo

I don't know why it took so long to give Stander a start....he could have been well experienced by now if Fleck had left out his and Yankee's mancrush....Princess...Been wanting to see him start from the beginning of the tournament....to see whether he can be a decent back-up for Bosch

The only reason our players join the Stormers is to be a bok...Untill Rassie's term is over

Ja I prefer Stander, he get more confident now plus Prince play better since been dropped.

We will be lucky to get a bonus point out of this match. Lions were unlucky at Newlands and last week against the Sharks.

Kolisi blow for Stormers
Stormers captain Siya Kolisi Kolisi blow for Stormers

Stormers captain Siya Kolisi has been ruled out for the rest of the Vodacom Super Rugby campaign. DYLAN JACK reports.

Kolisi was carried off before half-time in the physical battle against the Highlanders at Newlands last weekend, which the Stormers went on to win.

He was sent for scans immediately after the match and could not perform his post-match media duties.

Unfortunately, the next time the flank will play will be in a Springbok jersey as coach Robbie Fleck confirmed he will not return before the end of the Super Rugby season.

In a further blow to the team, Pieter-Steph du Toit and Kobus van Dyk have also been ruled out with respective injuries.

Fleck is hopeful Du Toit will be able to make it back for the Stormers’ final fixture against the Sharks, but Van Dyk will be out for up to 12 weeks.

We have some good young loosies playing for the Supersport Challenge side so not too concerned. We may just miss PSTD and Van Dyk's work rate. I am just happy that Scarra is ok.

I dont care where the Stormers end as long as the Bok star players dont get injured and is ready for the WC.

PsdT is already a worry, next one is Duanne Vermeulen who have been played into the ground.
Agree with all that.
OomPB wrote:and we need Whiteley , fresh and ready.

Disagree. He's a liability.
Depends on how you define liability.

Great leader on the field, great within the Lions game plan. But within the Boks there is no balance in the back three when he and Kolisi play together
Liability with his injuries. Can't count on him being healthy.

Same concerns as last week, just with more injuries this week. Stander has been kak this season, time he steps up. Going to miss PSDT and Kolisi. Glad Eben is back.

Adv. Lions over this injury-ravaged team.

More proof the plum doesn't watch rugby. Stander has been starting the last few games now. And been kak. Has been no better than duP yet. Maybe this week.

Last few matches: Loss, Bye, Draw (should have been a loss tbf), Win. They've won 1 of their last 3 matches you tool. And the match before that, the win against the Bulls, JL duP started at 10

Great comeback after being shown up again

Week 9: vs. Rebels AWAY - huge win (JL duP started)
Week 10: vs. Brumbies AWAY - loss (Stander started)
Week 11: vs. Bulls HOME - win (JL duP started)
Week 12: vs Jags AWAY - loss (JL duP started)
Week 13: bye
Week 14 vs. Saders HOME - Lucky draw (Stander started)
Week 15 vs. Highlanders HOME - Win (Stander started)

So last 6 games:
Stander: L, D, W
JL duP: W, W, L

But I'm glad we've "started winning since Stander has been starting" as you stated. I've said JL was kak you fool. Point is, Stander has been no better....yet.

Now back on ignore you go plumb, for everyone's sake.
